We were excited to buy a first time vehicle for my 18 year old daughter. She worked hard and saved a down payment. Our first stop was Carmax. My daughter fell in love with a Hyundai Elentra, but unfortunately, it was already sold. In an effort to make her happy we came to Southern Hyundai. Our salesman Logan was kind. He showed us a 2018 Hyundai Elantra which my daughter loved. We drove off the lot without adding the car to our insurance? The next day I tried adding the car to our insurance at Allstate. They quoted a $3200 6 month premium for my daughter and the vehicle. Needless to say. I received estimates from 8 other insurance companies, and all had extremely high premiums, some with a monthly payment of $850 !! Ultimately discovering that Hyundai Elantras are considered "High risk" by insurance companies due to thefts. In addition, the vehicle had a " Engine over heating" on the dashboard. I reached out to Logan and the sales dept at Southern auto to explain our dilemma. I asked if we could bring the vehicle back and possibly do a trade for something else due to the high insurance cost. This time.. the tone and demeanor of Logan my once kind sales agent changed. No smiles this time. He stated the exchange at the dealership was only for 3 days and we were 7 days past that so they refused to take the vehicle back. But they were willing to look at the vehicle to find out why it was overheating. Now my 18 year old daughter is stuck. As a VDH employee I take great pride in serving the community and assuring equity, and doing what is moral and right. I would not recommend going to this dealership!! Beware of the 3 day return policy and make sure you run the vin number through your insurance agency before signing anything!!! The LoJack subscription means nothing to most insurance companies. Regretting not finding something else at Carmax. Atleast they have a 30 day return policy which allows you to feel out the car and you have to insure the vehicle before leaving their dealership. Buyer beware!!! More

N/A I was overcharged for a brake job. Parts came in, and I was not notified until 2 weeks or more after they came in. Notes said I was notified by Brenda, and that was 2 weeks prior me starting to check on it. So then I made an appointment which was only available about 30 days later. Then I'm charged $2800 total for a brake job with rotor replacement. No way did just the pads and rotors cost $2300. Then $400 to install the brakes. Total $2,700. I disagree with these charges. I hope you understand where I'm coming from More
