Not only would they not come down a dime off their internet listed price, but they tried to tack on multiple hidden charges. Sure, they will tell you these charges are not hidden because they are wri internet listed price, but they tried to tack on multiple hidden charges. Sure, they will tell you these charges are not hidden because they are written on the the sticker price of the vehicles that had already been prepped and ready for sale. However, their internet listings do not say this. Matter of fact, they even brag about they pride themselves on not charging hidden fees......total xxxxxxxx lies. Here is their direct quote: "Unlike most of our competitors, when purchasing a previously owned vehicle from Hampstead PreOwned, you will not encounter any hidden charges i.e. reconditioning fees, additional state inspection costs, freight fees or any other magical cost some dealers would like you to perceive as valid. The only additional cost to our price is state tax, tags, license, and a 499 dealer processing fee." Well, not only did they not come down a dime off asking price, they tacked on the $499 processing fee AND a $399 prep fee AND a $199 transport fee!! Hey look, it get it.....the market is crazy and used car prices are going up. Just don't mislead your customers and sneak hidden fees. Just be honest and upfront. xxxx, just say on your internet listings that these are your rock bottom, no hassle prices.....at the least. Shady to do what they are doing. Thanks for wasting my time. But salesperson was great. Totally not his fault. More
