Great sense and confidence in my purchase While searching for a vehicle (Mitsubishi SUV), I came across a new listing from Hampstead Pre-Owned. I immediately requested information about the ve While searching for a vehicle (Mitsubishi SUV), I came across a new listing from Hampstead Pre-Owned. I immediately requested information about the vehicle, although it was after business hours but not too late in the evening, I received a call from Mrs. Young. She was very happy to answer all of my questions, gave me valuable information, and email me some high resolution photos of the vehicle. A few days later I decided to put a hold on the vehicle and was able to easily do that over the phone for $100 credited to my purchase later. It was convenient to me because I live far away (120 miles) from the dealer. Adam from service gave a updates on the vehicle, as they were conducting some repairs. A week later I (and my family including my mother in law*) had the opportunity to schedule a visit to test drive of the vehicle. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon shortly before 4:00 pm. The place was packed with other costumers, even thought it was a cold rainy day, not the best day to buy a car, but it tells you something about the place. After the test drive and a thorough inspection from my part, I pointed out a few small issues that I discovered to Mrs. Young, she asked Anthony the owner, a friendly husky guy, to come over. He immediately and without hesitation or delay acknowledged that they needed to be fixed. Another team member (Ryan) sat down with me to write a promissory indicating the issues that needed fixing. Later talking with Mike, I concluded that I didn’t needed the extended warranty, the complementary 1000 miles/30 day warranty on engine and transmission was enough for me. I was certain I wasn’t going to have any issues with that vehicle. Taking it home needed to wait, since they needed to fix some things. A few days later my wife called to get an status on the vehicle, but one of the issues in the promissory couldn’t be resolved and they offered a refund, I thought it was a fair tradeoff and accepted. A few days later we returned to pick up the vehicle, and drove it without any issues to home. Like any used car, it wasn’t perfect, but the price point alone made it a great deal. The fact that I encountered friendly treatment, quick response and ultimately the good sense I got off the place really made it a memorable experience. Next time I’m in the market for a used car, Hampstead Pre-Owned will be the first place I would check. *(It turned out that my wife and I purchased the vehicle has a gift to my mother in law. She was oblivious to that fact until after we got home. It was a very fun and emotional reveal for all of us.) More
