Exceptional Service Just had my car in for service again and as usual they went above and beyond for me. All of the employees are friendly and helpful but I dealt with Buddy Breure, as I usually do, and he is the best! He went out of his way to get me a courtesy loaner while my car was in the shop because I commute and cannot be without my vehicle. Definitely A++++++ service! My car drives like it did when I first bought it. I will continue to have my vehicle serviced at this facility and although I am not in the market for a new car at this time, this is where I will go when I am. More
You Can't Make This Stuff up! We have had tge same experience as Sheri. About 2 months ago, we were notified that our son's 2003 Civic was subject to the airbag recall. We re We have had tge same experience as Sheri. About 2 months ago, we were notified that our son's 2003 Civic was subject to the airbag recall. We responded to the dealer, setup the appointment, and took the car in. When we asked how long the work would take, the Service Dept informed us they didn't have the parts but could order them.. So why did you schedule the appt without the parts in hand? We got a look that could only come from a brain-dead jelly bean. When we indicated we'd come back, they said don't worry, we'll expedite the order. Expedite means something different at this dealer than to the poulation in general. daily calls produced one excuse and then another. Finally, at the end of the week, we get a call - repairs are done, come pick up the car. When my son returned home he informed us that the dealer could only get the passenger side airbag and he'd have to come back when the part came in. Fast forward 7 weeks. That's right, almost 2 months for a safety recall. We get another letter - "your repair is only half done, come in immediately to rectify this important safety issue". All in red letters. So ... we call, explain the situation, and set up an appointment. We arrive on time, 2nd car in the queue, and we wait. 15 minutes, 30 minutes,, a trip to the service desk and we're told "they'll be right with you. 45 minutes- nobody shows, and finally my wife walks into a service agent's office and asks "what gives?" It took us 1 hour to see a service agent when we arrived at the appointed time for service the dealer identified as critical. It gets better. About an hour after we left, the dealer called to tell us the service was complete. Well, not exactly. Turns out, they didn't have the part and would have to order it. That would be the red letter, critical safety feature they supposedly took 7 weeks to back order and then scheduled an appointment to install! If that wasn't bad enough, they then tried to sell us an oil change and 4 new tires!! When we didn't bite, they told us to come get the car - that would be the car they'd arranged to fix after a 7-week delay and then left us cooling our jets for an hour before we could get it into their shop for the non-service. Suffice it to say, the car remains at the dealer, awaiting the repair. So ... after two months and more than a week having the car out of action, we still don't have this critical safety issue resolved. It's pretty obvious that these guys don't want to be doing recall work. Stay as far away from these smarmy characters as you can get. They may have changed ownership after the franchise was convicted of fraudulent sales tactics, but it would appear that the same managers are running the service department. Honda needs to close this dealership or replace the owner and every manager. More
Terrible, horrible service department Set up apt 4 wks ago to replace defective airbag. They never confirmed my apt. I called day of apt. They said i could bring car in 2 hrs after apt time, i had to spend an hr digging my car out of driveway w no family help (family was at school/work) since i had been away for 3 wks. Arrived at dealership which is 20 min from my house to be told they did not have any replacement airbags. And would not until at least April. After waiting 20 min to speak to their manager- i left without speaking to him, he never came down. They said "oh he's in a meeting with management" to which I replied, " isn't the customer more important than that-because it should be" I was very cordial to employee. Horrible customer service, it is the second time I have been at that dealership and the second time I have had poor customer service. Go to Honda in Annandale-excellent service there-even though it is a bit farther away. More

I would like to share one of the best customer service experiences of my life...Last week my wife, bless her heart, dropped her wedding band in between the front seats of our Honda CRV (which we love the experiences of my life...Last week my wife, bless her heart, dropped her wedding band in between the front seats of our Honda CRV (which we love the by the way). To complicate matters my wife, who is pregnant, didn’t have all of her usual dexterity and was unable to find the ring immediately after she dropped it. Well after two days of searching myself, I brought the car into Hackettstown Honda, without an appointment, on a busy Saturday morning. I was greeted by a courteous member of the service team who listened while I explained the situation. After hearing my tale of woe, the service manager was called over and after an initial search of the interior calmly explained that they would pull the car into the service bay and begin removing the seats, console, and interior carpet until the ring was found. Seeing the worry on my face he took the time to empathize with my situation and explain exactly how his team would go about their task and that rest assured if the ring was in the car it would be found. Those few extra minutes of empathy can make all the difference in a customer service situation and this is something that the entire team at Hackettstown Honda understands well. While I sat in their plush waiting room, I was given periodic updates by the team of Joe B, Greg H, Cody M, and Nick G, who were working to solve the situation. Passenger seat out…Console out…Driver seat out….Carpet rolled back…and there it was, right next to an old Cheerio! It was obviously a great moment, relief rolled over me and the terror of shopping for a new wedding band dissipated. What made this feeling even more gratifying was seeing that the entire team was genuinely happy as well. Not just happy that the project was complete, but truly happy that they had solved my problem. I cannot say enough great things about the service department at Hackettstown Honda- truly professional, knowledgeable staff, and willing to go the extra mile to provide outstanding service. While I of course would never recommend losing a diamond ring underneath the seat of your car, if you do I highly recommend that you pay a visit to Hackettstown Honda! More
Operationally, the service department appears to be disarray. Was told to bring back vehicle only to be told they had no idea what to do with it. Simple work-flows and processes would seem to be fundamental with a Honda dealership. Very discouraging and will not return. Have to question to actual they say their doing. More
Since buying our Honda Civic in Wayne in 2005, I have always hoped to have a dealership closer to home. Living in Hackettstown you can imagine how glad I was to see that this was finally happening with t always hoped to have a dealership closer to home. Living in Hackettstown you can imagine how glad I was to see that this was finally happening with the opening of Hackettstown Honda. Unfortunately, this has since changed with my recent experience when I brought my car in for service for an exhaust leak. Having some mechanical ability, I had examined the car the night before and determined that there was a possibility that the leak was only a gasket problem, but I was going to leave this up to our "trusted" Honda dealership. When scheduling my appointment I had mentioned this to the person taking my call. To my surprise, when I received the estimate for repair, I was told that there was a rusted portion of the pipe and that the cat converter and pipe needed to be replaced. The cost was going to be $1400 - $1600.00. Like I said, this caught me by surprise, but fortunately, having the ability to fix it myself-- I declined the repair. Mentioning this to a friend, he suggested bringing the car to AAMCO, so I figured a second opinion could not hurt. Wrapping this up, they determined this leak was due to the "gasket" and the cost was a mere $150.00 to their estimated $1400- $1600. With this being said, you can see how disappointed I was to see that my "Local Honda Dealership" was ripping me off. I can only imagine what they do with the sale of their cars and to other unsuspecting customers in need of car repair. More
