We apologize that your visit didn't live up to your expectations During my investigation I learned that your vehicle was here for only 24 hours before we started the diagnosis. You picked your vehicle up during the diagnosis process and we did not charge you for the diagnostic. I will be sure to speak with the service director regarding your concerns about the dress code, it is not our intention to appear unprofessional. Brought my truck in on Wednesday at 8:15 - on scheduled appointment . Called that afternoon for update - left message , no call back . Operator said tech is on phone ! Called Thursday for update - operator said tech is away from desk / left message - no call back Called Friday - operator tried giving me tech’s voice mail again . I said nope - give me a manager . She quickly tried some wise crack deferment tactics - suggesting I was told this or that - what a joke . Said I’m done waiting on Jim Butler - I’m coming up to just pick up truck … A miracle happened - tech found his phone .. All of sudden tech quickly calls back , saying they haven’t got truck in yet and he has no answers … tried blaming delay because I had asked for front end to be serviced along w airbag recall … said he had not started in it however , if I leave w him -offered to jump directly on it which is Friday afternoon which means I won’t have my truck until Tuesday at best … did I mention I make my living w/ my truck ?? So I come up to get truck service manager tried nicely to retain my truck and business offering oil change and tried to make it right . Asked me yo leave the truck and he would keep a tech late to fix airbag and I could come back that evening .. he did comp me on the rental car costs however , when I refused to leave it and did not accept his offer , he tried to tell me O owe a diagnostic fee that was performed anyway !!! I found this very very suspect because his own tech handling my service did nothing had been done on the vehicle yet .. he couldn’t tell me if the front was bad or not . So how do you charge me diagnostic fee when Jim Butlers own team can’t agree and contradict each other ?? I told him that I respectfully disagree w/ him and he went back and pow wow’d again w/ somebody returning to say sorry for inconvenience and handed me my keys… This went on in the service area outside service manager office … now this whole time guy w/ mirror sunglasses on , a hoodie w/ sleeves rolled up to show off tattoos and some band tee shirt underneath and gangster chains hanging out stared me down .. when I nodded to him saying hey - he just stared w/o hello back — from behind the sunglasses … manager walking around w/ his shirt half unbuttoned showing off his chains and no company shirts or uniforms on … what a Hoosier operation I’m a self employed remodeling contractor and all my guys wear company shirts & jackets including me .. So , in the final analysis w/ respect to your assertion that my vehicle was in for 24 hours and diagnostics were being performed I say again - I respectfully disagree w/ your fabrication of the truth AGAIN . Your reply to fabricate the events and not bothering to call me , shows a systemic problem within Jim Butler organization .

When a vehicle comes into our service department for a request other than routine maintenance it is required to see a journeyman tech. Our journeymen are currently out about 3-5 days. We do have to drive the vehicle to reproduce your concern. Our records do not indicate that you requested an oil change. We apologize it that was missed.
