"They don't value customers or their own work"

- Dodge123

After Johnny Roberts worked on my car from 10/18/2015- 11/09/15 for an oil leak. While in the shop they offered to replace the water pump since they had it there and would only charge for the part. After a day they called back and stated that my car had carbon build up in the engine and needed to be cleaned. They would have to take off the timing belt and take my engine apart and clean the heads. They said without doing this they wouldn't be able to put the water pump/timing belt back on. After a week or so they called me to go pick up my car that it was ready and good to go. The day I arrived to pick it up my car I was about to drive away and one of the mechanics noticed water on the ground under my car. I got out before driving away and lifted the hood water was boiling over from the reservoir. Another mechanic came over and said it was pressure in the line and that was why it was bubbing water out of the reservoir. The next day I came and picked up car I got home and kept doing this- I called they told me it was normal and would soon stop. When I came back to Johnny Roberts..several times. They would say it wasn't doing to it by the time they would get it bk in the shop. Once I went by and asked the service manager to please come out side and see what my car was still doing. He just said 'what do you you want me to do I can't do anything'.. I asked him to note it because it was still doing it. Because it was getting annoying that they weren't ever seeing what I was seeing. Then at this time Johnny Roberts said I needed a radiator($993 parts/labor) but I wanted a second opinion. Since they did the work on my engine and all the other times they couldn't find a problem. So, I had two other certified Dodge dealers (Elk city/Vernon)and they confirmed that my radiator was fine but I needed my engine overhauled or a new engine. Ironically, the Last dealer to work on my engine was Johnny Roberts- (only shop that has ever worked on my engine). -I have called and talked to the owner about the findings from the other dealers. He just stated that "I stand by what my mechanics say and you car needs a radiator." I truly feel as they have disregarded every attempt to correct this matter. This issue was addressed since day ONE and they didn't take it seriously. They don't value customers or their own work.

Johnny Roberts Motors responded

We understand your concerns however we still feel that the offer made two years ago by Chrysler to give you a replacement engine even though your vehicle had in excess of 200,000 miles was extremely gracious. Obviously, you did not feel the same way since you rejected that offer. We are sorry that we could not do more to help you.

"It's a small world"

- Ross

We were returning from a vaca in Colorado when outside of Memphis, Texas our water pump went out. Since the truck is still under warranty, Dodge had it towed to the closest dealership- which happened to be in Altus, Oklahoma- the opposite direction from home. After talking to Kevin about the issues w/the truck he said he was coming to Stephenville the next week and would bring it to us!!!! This was such a relief to us saving us from taking a day off work and 7/8 hours of driving. Kevin even parked it in our driveway!!! Great customer service doesn't begin to cover it!!!!

"My a/c compressor burned up, while I was in sw Oklahoma...."

- Wb1247

My a/c compressor burned up, while I was in sw Oklahoma. I had the truck towed in by Wilma's chevrolet, I got thier card to pay my bill. Jonny Roberts did the work and charged me a premium price of 1300.00 to fix a/c unit. I ran it for 15 mins to see that it was working. I put maybe 800 miles on the truck in the next 45 days ( winter time). While I was back down in sw Oklahoma, I tried the a/c, it blew hot air. I mistakingly called Wilma's chevrolet, from thier business card. I spoke to the service manager, who stated he would bump me to the front of the line and provide Me a courtesy vehicle while I was down for the next two days hunting. He agreed for 1300.00 dollars, my a/c should work. I realized I had the wrong dealership, he was nice enough to get me the number for Johnny Roberts motor. I called and spoke to bud the service Manager. Who told me that they were closed on the weekend and really could do anything for me right now.. Big difference from what I just heard from Wilma's service manager. I set the appointment to bring the truck back, it's a two hour ride. Bud tells me my a/c condensor is now cracked and it will cost me another 375.00 to fix it. I ask why it wasn't fixed the first time. He says they tested it. I explain it is doing the same thing it did before the compressor burned up. Bud tells me I can't prove that it was cracked before. He tells me I really can't ask for more. I correct him telling yes I could and I'm not satisfied. Bud says he won't do more for me and there's no reason to argue about it. I ask him if this will for sure fix it after 1700.00 dollars. He looks at me and shrugged his shoulders, he doesn't even have the confidence in his shop to fix it either. I ask him what am I going to do tonight as I'm two hours from home. He again shrugged his shoulders. No courtesy vehicle, no offer to call me a cab to get a hotel.. Nothing, it's obviously not his problem! Bud was upset because I wasn't happy about the fact his shop didn't fix my truck right the first time. Bud returns 5 mins later with my keys and tells me he can't get the part until Thursday (2 days) and I'll have to bring the truck back down to get the part put in. That's four hours of driving today and another four hours on thursday, with no guarantees that this will fix my a/c system. Five star service!! Not ! I called my local auto shop for and extra 125.00 they will fix it and guarantee thier work. Which I'll gladly pay just so I won't have to deal with bud or Johnny Roberts ever again. I own a farm in sw Oklahoma, so the next time my dodge needs work, it will go to Wilma's chevrolet. They will also earn my next new vehicle purchase, they know how to treat a customer. Johnny Roberts motors claims a five star rating.. I wouldn't give it one star, and bud needs to learn what customer service really is.

"The service department knows how service SHOULD BE. I..."

- boxedlunh

The service department knows how service SHOULD BE. I just arrived here in Altus (I'm in the Air Force) and had some issues with my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7L that weren't resolved at my last location. These guys were polite, genuinely concerned about my ownership experience, and got the vehicle taken care of. John, in the service department, went above and beyond just helpful. He even helped me get the lay of the land and familiarized me with the local "things to do." If I sound like I'm raving, I am!
