Young dealerships do not share trade-in appraisals with each other. I took my mint condition vehicle to one dealership and they valued it at $38,600 after a short test drive. Total time, about 20 min. and they gave me a copy of the Live Market Report Their inventory was empty and I went to YCDJ in Layton. The salesman was Thomas. This guy should think about flipping hamburgers. Terrible at being a customer service type guy. Thomas walked around my vehicle, took a pic, and headed for his office. About 10 min later, he informed me that my vehicle was worth, $29,000. No test drive, no Market Report.. His attitude reflected that he was doing me a favor at $29,000. The Market Report that the first dealership completed, shows that my vehicle, low miles, was valued at $37,000 trade in value and retail at over $50,000. I don't get this dealership's position, other than greed. The information on the trade-in value is on their web page. How can they dispute their own information. Anyways, it's a Jeep dealership, without any Jeeps visible on the lot. They have 25+ Dodge vehicles inside the showroom, but I was interested in Jeeps. If you want a Jeep, try Ken Garff dealerships.. Initially, I was going to post a negative review in the hope of dissuading potential customers from having to interact with this dealership. After looking at the other reviews it became clear mine would ju hope of dissuading potential customers from having to interact with this dealership. After looking at the other reviews it became clear mine would just get lost amongst all the other one-star reviews. Apparently, I’m not the first person they’ve been shady with. So, I’ll give them a one-star rating and let the court of public opinion decide. Bonus entertainment: If you search the internet carefully you can find the text messages and a recording of the phone call with the manager where he hangs up on me… Here’s how it went down. TLDR version: drive North one hour to Logan if you want a Jeep. First, the good: called the dealership and talked with Zach Thomas. Fantastic dude. If, for some reason, you do business here, talk to him! He found the vehicle I located on their website. I explained to him the deal I was looking for and that I lived around 500 miles away. He worked with his manager (not sure which one at this point in the process) and we got the deal penciled out. I provided him all of my information to work out the financing and we agreed to meet halfway the next day. My wife was excited as the new vehicle was going to be hers. This was around noon. The not so good: After not hearing anything for a couple of hours Zach explains that he’s busy but is working on the paperwork. Perfect! While this is going on my wife has cleaned and detailed her old vehicle. She even took all of her stuff out so we wouldn’t have to transfer it all the next day. She is beyond excited at this point. We’ve been looking for a new vehicle for her for a while. The bad: It’s getting late- like 7pm. I still haven’t got the details on the financing and no word from anyone about finalizing the deal. Zach tells me the manager is super busy and I’m third in line. I’m starting to think that they don’t want to honor the deal. Another hour goes by. Nothing. After 8pm I get a notification that my credit has been pulled. A couple of minutes later Zach calls me and puts me on speaker phone with the sales manager, Jason Shipley. Jason proceeds to tell me that the finance terms are not what they should be because, in part, there weren’t a lot of lenders financing vehicles that late at night. I explained to him that the finance terms were an important part of the deal and that they had previously agreed to those terms when I sent them all my information. I tell him that I’m frustrated that they are just now putting the deal together and that I am thinking they don’t want to honor the deal they made. Had they done it earlier in the day we could have easily got the financing done. He tells me that he’s sorry and that they dropped the ball but says that I have two options: I can either do the deal at the higher rate and eat the difference or we can call the deal off. I explain that I don’t think I should have to pay more because of their mistakes and that, had I known they were going to put me in this position, I would have just bought the vehicle from their competitor. He tells me that he would prefer I buy the vehicle from their competitor. He provides no solution and again tells me that I can either take the new deal or leave it. I begin to explain to him that it is almost 9pm and he’s forcing me to either disappoint my wife or take a loss (versus the other deal I had penciled out with his competition and the fact that I now have five hard credit pulls on my file and no new vehicle) just to do business with them. He interrupts me and says that he’s no longer interested in doing the deal and hangs up on me. So, there it is. Rather than conclusory remarks about the business or their practices I’ve provided the facts for you to decide on your own. As an aside, I’ve never understood why some people think that car dealerships are scummy. It’s always just been business for me. After interacting with Jason Shipley and watching my wife (crying) put all of her things back in her car I understand now. More

When i asked to have it fixed the service manager called me a picky little bitc* . Problem after problem! Since the day of purchase The radio has over heated the volume does not work. 8 months of this. So we asked to trade it out and were told they would help us due to our problems. We were told we could get a car at cost. When we went to the credit union we were told that the sales department had added 10,000 dollars to the back side of our loan request. Finally someone reached out and said they would help us. We just want a new car after 8 months of nothing but problems since delivery of our new jeep compass. I picked up our jeep once again and the same day had the same problem with the radio. I have called now for weeks and sent the video .Tom the service manager didn't even talk to me after what was said to me! I keep getting the response i will forward this to tom. its been weeks our radio wont work , They clearly don't care This Jeep is riddled with problems and the sad part is seldon young SR is my uncle. The founder of young automotive group ! This goes to show That the there is no limit to who you are or how you treat others. I bought my truck from Layton Hills Ram which was a great dealership with seasoned veterans. Young bought the dealership and everything went down hill. DO NOT BUY A TRUCK FROM THIS DEALERSHIP OR BRING YOUR dealership with seasoned veterans. Young bought the dealership and everything went down hill. DO NOT BUY A TRUCK FROM THIS DEALERSHIP OR BRING YOUR TRUCK HERE FOR SERVICE. They did not honor my extended warranty or service agreement that was bought from the former dealership. Everyone has an attitude like your privileged to be there, the customer is not alway right there and customer service is the worst. While I was there today two other customers were standing there angry with the service and how they were being treated. I own 7 Rams for my business and am very loyal to the Chrysler. A young man in finance told me just because I am loyal customer doesn’t make me special. I am not going buy or do any business with the Young name. These people are crooks. More

In the process our interior of our jeep was left with deep scratches about 12 inches long. As well as the radio still glitches. Our carpet kit has pulled out again. When I called Tom the manger he stated I was being a picky little xxxxx. I have seen Rachel there and emails with pictures have been sent to Tom. It's been three weeks now and he still hasn't reached out to me . As well as they make it seem getting a loaner car again is too much to ask More

We bought a Ram 3500 and after a million hidden fees and overages we got nothing but the run around. The truck had an active SAFETY recall which they lied about. They said it was a sensor and we could bring it in “the next day to get fixed”. WRONG! It was the high pressure injector pump which RAM did not even have a fix for at that time. We contacted them at length and NEVER got any return calls. We ended up getting on the wait list at Doug Smith since we know Young’s service department is inept! We got charged for a two year subscription to LoJack…and the truck doesn’t even have a LoJack device. Once again NO ONE will call us back, we are still calling daily only to get sent to voicemail. And finally after sitting down with the finance manager after we purchased the truck we got them to cancel $8,000 in random fees and mark-ups…however the money has still not been credited to our loan after 6 weeks. And of course no one will answer our call to tell us if this is even being processed (although they promised they would). The salesperson will tell you ANYTHING to get you out the door only to screw you in every way possible with little to no recourse. Please make the drive elsewhere and save yourself a lot of anger, money and frustration, by NOT buying from this HORRIBLE dealer. I would rather take public transportation than buy another vehicle from Young Dodge, Ram, Jeep Screw You Dealership!! More
