car price vs actual price 1st of all I realize that I do not have to buy a car from Jenkins VW, I will never again. Second Matt our sales guy was awesome. When we sat down to finance the car it was 23,500.00? I am not stupid and realize tags and title add some to the price, but 7500? In looking at the additional fees, they added about 2300. for VW certification and 2700 for incidentals and warranty. I asked since this work had not been done could I opt out of these services and was told no. My question was why is that not shown in the actual price ,since they are mandatory? I then was shown a car priced at 11,995 and when the incidentals and certification fees were added the car was 19,500. Again could not opt out of the excessive fees, so again why put 11,999 on the sticker. So beware if you go to buy a car here add about 6000 in fees to whatever the price is before going! The last thing and only miss my salesman missed on was that he dangled 0 percent financing several times but never pursued the idea and kept saying after he dangled it that he wasnt sure if there was a voucher available in order to get it. REALLY: You can do it if I was spending 40000 on a new car, so do not offer this if you are not going to follow thru on the idea. The voucher thing is xx. Sad as the salesman was very good, the car was exactly what we wanted but now you have a very unhappy customer who will blast you on social media.. Again I know I do not have to buy the car. Next stop Better Business Bureau. More
