On April 4, 2024, I took my 2002 Lexus ES300 to Lexus of Serramonte to have my battery inspected since it would no longer hold a charge.(I also noticed one of my tail-light bulbs was blown out). While there, I decided to have my annual maintenace work performed. After waiting over eight hours, they they handed me the bill. They charged me over 100 dollars to change the light bulb and over 400 dollars for installing a new battery.The total bil was over 900 dollars. After much complaing, they gave me a discount of only 100 dollars. They could not give any reason as to why it cost 100 dollars to change a tail-light bulb and over 400 dollars to install a new battery. I feel I was totally ripped off and after taking my Lexus to them for over 15 years, I will no longer be using their services (even with owning 2 Lexus's. (I just recently bought a new Lexus ES300 hybrid from them). Thankfully, my freind advised me to take my cars to D&J Auto in San Bruno. They have a 5 star rating and an A+ with Consumer Reports.. After hearing his great satisfaction with them, I will now take my two Lexus's to them whenever it needs service. I always new dealerships were more expensive, but in my opinion, that was a total scam. More
