"THoughtful, efficient service "

Let's distinguish between sales and service. (A lot of reviews here don't seem to.) My purchase experience involved a number of slip-ups, largely because of a trainee salesman, I think, and maybe a distracted manager. Once I had my Toyota Prius in my hands, though, my service experience has been superb: friendly, thoughtful, efficient, and great about keeping me updated whiled I wait. Most recently, Steve Ogaard was excellent, but I must say all my contacts with the service department have been terrific. I had a somewhat complicated problem with a cracked windshield, from a small stone not an issue with the car itself. The service department was really helpful here, not just in recalibrating the system after the new windshield was installed, but also walking me through the insurance process and making it very simple. I expect I'll stick with the Lia service people, even after my warranty expires. I know original dealer service costs more, but given my experience so far, it will be worth it.

"It has been wonderful to work with Andrew recently"

I have been going to Lia Toyota of Colonie for many years but only recently have had the top notch customer service I expected. In the last few months I started working with Andrew Kuhn to service both my 2010 and my husband's 2014 Prius's. Each visit with Andrew has been very pleasant and he has helped get really good value for my dollar which is important to me since I am retired. This Spring, I purchased two sets of Michelin tires through Andrew (one set for each car) and he made the process very easy and prompt. Andrew is always polite and professional and doesn't make me feel like I can't wait to get away from the dealership or that I've been treated like a woman who is difficult (I can be) or doesn't know anything. Andrew also went above and beyond in processing a Michelin Warranty for me and a Toyota warranty enhancement that was offered for the headlights of my 2010 Prius. I am a very satisfied customer (not easily done) and it is due to Andrew Kuhn and his excellent customer service. Thank you Andrew. Ellen Harris

"Mike Kikkert is Awesome"

I arrived for a 5pm appointment (a brief repair job) and Mike was so gracious. We were there at 4:55pm and I asked if he was about to depart for the day but he said "let me get you started, as Steve is on a call." Well, not only did he get me started he remained until 5:50pm to be sure that my vehicle was delivered in a timely fashion and that I was happy. Indeed Mike is a true asset to Lia Toyota and I wanted to thank him again for his dedication to customer service. He is truly a "top shelf" performer.

"Great People, Great Service"

Although I purchased my two Toyota vehicles out of state, both have been serviced at Lia Toyota in Schenectady. Jodi was my most recent Service Advisor and although all are very personable and and great at their job, Jodi was excellent in the way she interacted with me, showing care and concern in her recommendations (not pushy). "Good Service"

Five stars to Vanessa Radley, Serv. Adv. She spent time with me explaining the work needed on my car and cost and work needed going forward. Service is expensive and confusing (do I really need that service now?) but she made the experience a little easier.

"Excellent Customer Service"

This was my first time at Lia and it happened to be an emergent situation where we had to coast into the lot. Michael helped us right away and was able to make arrangements to have our vehicle express-serviced. I really liked that he wasn't dismissive and maintained his professionalism. He was kind, friendly, and went above and beyond to assure we were taken care of. Thanks, Michael!!

"Rude individual"

I would not return to this dealership after the experience that I had. I had an issue with my car after having previously been to the dealership, and when I was greeted by Mr. O'Keefe he was very impatient with me and very condescending. He explained to me that he stands by his employees (even though they did bad work on my car) and he condescendingly told me that they wouldn't be repairing my vehicle for free because there was no proof that it was the mechanic's work that interfered with my car's operation. So much for a guarantee. The real kicker, though, was that when I told him that what he was doing was wrong, he replied "Well that's how things are done around here." Not good!!!

"Impressed!"

Thank you to Marty and Brian for providing exceptional service. I was really blown away by how happy I left there. Marty truly did go above and beyond to do everything he could for me. I walked in there after being sent on a wild goose chase by another dealership so I was frustrated to say the least. Marty and Brian both explained everything thoroughly and did more than they had to! I will most certainly buy from LIA again!

Robyn did everything possible to make me feel comfortable while my car was being serviced (checked for on-line coupon, told me of the coffee/doughnuts and fruit to snack on while I waited, and even took the papers from me that I was going to put in trash)! Amazing customer care!

"SEARCH FOR HELP"

WE PURCHASED A PRIUS PRIME ADVANCED VEHICLE. I FOUND DIFFICULTY IN USING THE COMPUTERIZED ACCESSORIES. HAVING READ MOST, IF NOT ALL, OF THE 5 BOOKS THAT CAME WITH THE CAR I STILL WAS UNABLE TO USE THE ACCESSORIES. I TRIED ASKING THE SALES DEPARTMENT AND TWO GENTLEMEN COULD NOT HELP. THEY REFERRED ME TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THE FIRST SERVICE PERSON COULD NOT HELP. THEN I MET SID NARENDRA AND HE SOLVED MY PROBLEM. AFTER THE FIRST EPISODE I HAD A SECOND PROBLEM AND I CALLED SID IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE HE IS PATIENT, COURTEOUS, AND INTELLIGENT. HE WAS ABLE TO THINK ABOUT WAYS TO DEAL WITH THE CARS COMPUTERS. HE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS BUT HE WANTED TO HELP ME AND HE DID. YOUR ENTIRE STAFF SHOULD BE TRAINED AND THEN BE PREPARED TO FOLLOW SID'S EXAMPLE.
