We later met Lane, Clarion, Sharon, etc etc. These people were super nice! We were later called back after the sale to re sign paper work because we were informed we were charged a bit too much for our gap insurance. Sharon, the receptionist was so sweet and awesome with my son. They talked about his book and she recommended a few others he may like. We talked with Steven, Lane, Eddie, Clarion, and a few others. We soon learned that it also just happened to be customer appreciation day at Low Country VW. Blaine put ketchup ona hot dog for my daughter and got both of my kids a juice. Overall, satisfaction s way off the charts with this dealership and all of the professional, nice, positive, amazing people that work there! We mostly dealt with Steven R and he is one heck of an awesome person and sales man! We would definitely deal with this dealership again AND recommend to many friends, family members. Actually, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great price and confident, professional, friendly service!!! Thanks, Carol and Chris Moore More

F*** NO, the only nice thing about this place is that it is convenient to Mt. P (GO TO N. CHARLESTON). My blood pressure was so high inside that place I almost spontaniously combusted. The Service counter is convenient to Mt. P (GO TO N. CHARLESTON). My blood pressure was so high inside that place I almost spontaniously combusted. The Service counter guy (Greg) should have been fired right on the spot for how rude he was. When I went and talked to the manager, he pretty much just gaffed me off and "waived the diagnostics charge" (which later appeared on my service estimate). The service estimate they wrote up was over $400. I called around to a few other VW dealerships and got the same estimate at about $150 for all of them. FRAUD!. When I approached the manager, he quickly adopted a stuttering problem...obviously he wasn't ready for my research. I bought by car at that place 3 years ago and since then it has gone to xxxx. I'll never step foot in that place again. More
I was visiting Charleston from out of state and I was "fortunate" enough to hit a piece of metal that fell off a truck in front of me while driving on the highway.... This review relates primarily to my sales experience at this dealership as my new car is under warranty and I've had only one service visit, which was satisfactory except that the service writer tried to s this dealership as my new car is under warranty and I've had only one service visit, which was satisfactory except that the service writer tried to sell me other 'recommended' services at the first 10,000 mile warranty service. I purchased a new Jetta from this dealer in August, 2010. During the deal discussion, the sales manager tried to sneak a dealer processing fee by me bundled in 'tax, tag, title, fees', despite my continued effort to have him present a line item breakdown of pricing. As my distrust grew, I told him he had 3 choices: 1) not budge and I would leave without a car; 2)split the fee and I would buy the car but I was clear that I would not be happy; or 3) remove the fee and I would buy the car and leave a satisfied customer. He chose #2 knowing I was still unhappy with my experience. When my wife came to pick up the car they couldn't find all the keys; and while they were looking for them, the sales manager spent his time 'selling' her on how important it was for her to give them a 5 satisfaction rating in the follow up survey from Volkswagen. This from the man that knew I was dissatisfied, clearly showing little real interest in our satisfaction. It's my understanding this sales manager is no longer at this dealer, which is good; and the dealer has expressed its apology for my experience. More

Everyone from our salesman Joe, to his boss (I forgot his name)to the buisness manager Bob, each person made us feel confident, comfortable and well educated in making such a big purchase. My wife and I went to every dealer in our town and spoke with a lot of salesman who you get "bad juju" from, but you won't find any of that here. What a team! You could not ask for anything more from a dealer. knowledgeable staff, professional, very friendly, and they all take their time with you with no feelings of being pressured. I could keep rambling on about how impressed we were, but in the end, you just have to go meet Joe and the guys at Low Country VW! More
C'mon people, do you really believe all these glowing reviews listed on this site??? Isn't it a bit peculiar that these are all 5+ star reviews while other sources have reviews from people that are scre reviews listed on this site??? Isn't it a bit peculiar that these are all 5+ star reviews while other sources have reviews from people that are screaming for people to stay away from this dealership? Smells fishy to me. Plus, seriously do all these people actually remember the names of the employees they dealt with? I'm not going to go into a long story detailing all my experiences with LowCountry VW, but I will say that I've been disappointed with each and every time I've been up there. The first time was when I just got a used wv that only had one key and so I needed to purchase a replacement key. They had to order one, no biggie. Well, when it arrived after it had already been payed for, it turned out to be a blank key. They told me I would need to get it engraved and that I could just take it to a locksmith. I call a couple of locksmiths who tell me that they can't engrave car keys, that instead the car dealership should be able to do this. Finally, I ended up calling the other local WV dealership and they told me that they would be able to order & engrave the key, no problem. I've had to take my car up for servicing a couple of times and the one good thing I will say is that they have all their prices up on a board so you know how much everything costs beforehand. However, they try to tell you everything under the sun is wrong with your car. Not just that, I was up there for over 3 hours one time when I was told it would only be around an hour. You're probably asking "why do you keep going back if you've had such bad experiences?" Believe me, I ask myself the same thing but I just don't know where to go to find honest, friendly service where they don't try to gauge you everytime. If anyone does, let me know. More
I bought a used Saturn Vue here, and I will never purchase another vehicle from them again. At first they were very friendly and did a great job convincing me to to purchase the vehicle. The very n purchase another vehicle from them again. At first they were very friendly and did a great job convincing me to to purchase the vehicle. The very next day I tried to start it up 8 different times, and three times it wouldn't start up, one of which was at a restaurant. After about 45 minutes it finally started up and got us home, so the next day I just called back to see if there was anything they could do. I knew I had bought the car AS IS, but when you pay approximately the Kelley Blue book Excellent condition price for a used vehicle from a dealership, you expect it to run the next day. That's the point of buying from a dealership...so you can trust that it's not a lemon. They understood my concern and had me bring it in, and sure enough the first time they tried to start it up it wouldn't start, the mechanic deemed it unsafe to drive, and they generously gave us a vehicle to drive until they could figure out the problem. Three days later they told us to pick up the car. They said they had cleared some codes and that it should be fine. The next day the service engine soon light came on and we started having trouble getting it started again. I called them and they said, "We just don't think there's anything wrong with it." I'm not a car expert, but I think a car not starting nearly half the time is a problem. I took it somewhere that knew more about Saturn vehicles, and they said there was around $1300 worth of problems that needed to be fixed that could be causing the problem. I told Low Country Volkswagen the diagnosis, and after basically chewing me out about how much of a problem I had been (I was more calm than he was, and I was the one with the broken car), he said he was almost tempted to buy the car back, but instead told me to bring it in to see if they could fix it for cheaper. They fixed one of the three things on the list the other service department had given me, and sure enough two days later it won't start up. I called back just to see what they would say, and again, even though I didn't raise my voice, cuss or any of the like, the next thing I know he has his angry voice on again and is talking about how good of a deal he gave me and how he wasn't willing to do any more to help. I reminded him that selling me a car that won't start the next day for what it should cost in excellent condition isn't a good deal. When you call at the beginning it says they record their conversations. I just wish I had the conversation recorded to show the difference in our tones. It is one thing to rip me off and sell me a lemon. It is another thing all together to rip me off and then act like it is entirely my fault and refuse to acknowledge that there's anything wrong with the vehicle. More
I loved my experience at this dealership. Anthony is a very knowledgeable and friendly dealer. He accommodated us in every way, and we had fun purchasing a car (which can often times be a pain). I origina very knowledgeable and friendly dealer. He accommodated us in every way, and we had fun purchasing a car (which can often times be a pain). I originally purchased a car that needed to be shipped from another state, but when that car was severely damaged in a storm, this dealership worked hard to get me in exactly what I wanted. I actually like the car we settled on better than the one I originally wanted (and it was cheaper!). More
Was unsure of what to expect from this dealer as previous year reviews were less than desirable. I met John right away and found the entire experience to nothing but awesome. He was friendly, knowledgable, a year reviews were less than desirable. I met John right away and found the entire experience to nothing but awesome. He was friendly, knowledgable, and to the point with none of the usual BS you get from car salesman. Anyone interested in a VW should waste no time shopping other dealers. They have it all pulled together and are ready to help. BTW, i traded in my Audi A4 and can't believe what an awesome vehicle the 2012 CC is. Two words sum this up........GET ONE! More
