I found scheduling an appointment at my convenience to be easy and quickly accomplished. As I waited fir completion, I was kept totally in the loop. I had the most unpleasant experience at this location. I have had major repair issues that range from engine failures, clutch failure and steering wheel repair done on my 2012 Sonata. Never had any issues interacting with any of the service people. I came in the morning of 10/26/21 for break lights that won’t turn off and air bag light that was on. Keep in mind that the steering wheel was repaired by Hyundai in 2020. I had questions about the diagnostic fees/price gouging and that’s when the service person became argumentative. I asked to speak to a manager since she was asking me to shell out $500 in diagnostic fees that didn’t make sense. The service manager Carleen Shimanski came out with a scowl and an attitude to match. Needless to say she didn’t take it well that I asked for a manager and she really let me know it. Conversation went downhill immediately and her condescending attitude was definitely not appreciated, and was unproductive. Bloomington Hyundai treat your customers better and revisit the role of a manager with your leadership. A manager steps in to clarify and resolves issues. The approach should be consumer centered with retention goals. Carleen Shimanski failed to simply do her job that day because she either lacks the interpersonal communication skills or she chose to be that way. NOT OK!!!!!!!!!!! More
Wasn’t very impressed with the deal I got but took it anyway as I had to wait a couple of months for my vehicle to arrive. I don’t think they even looked at my trade and offered significantly less than the research I had done indicated it was worth. I thought they knew they had me between a rock and a hard place and acted accordingly. I see it’s marked up almost 40% from what I received for it. They neglected to put on a temporary license plate. All that being said, I would recommend the dealership as I really like the car and anticipate the service will be very good. More

I have been doing business with Bloomington Hyundai for 15+ years now and this is my 4th car with them. Great sales group. * 1 Star for service dept - I used to love this service dept and give it 5 stars but it has fallen off in the last few years. Most recent example: This month my son took his car in for an oil change and tire rotation & 60,000 service. When he started driving back to work in St. Paul, there was a rattling under his car. When he got to work, he seen they never secured the bottom skid pad below the engine. He had to take it off (unscrewed the bolts by hand) and put it in his trunk. They also rotated the tires wrong. At my last service on my old car, I paid for the synthetic motor oil that lets you drive 7500 between service. They put it regular oil (indicated on the sticker). So - great sales - poor service dept. More
