Service with a smile I dropped by to have the oil changed in my jeep without an appointment. I was number 12 in line and new I was going to be there for a minute. We drove the car and wasn't really sure it was what we wanted. Nathan was very perceptive and brought us in and showed us a new car for less money than the 2 year old car. Along with the lifetime warranty he sold us on the spot! Great deal on a great Grand Cherokee and didn't play any of the car sales games! Thank you Nathan! More
First Impression of the Service and Service Dept. June 14th, 2016 was my first visit to the service department since I bought my 2016 Jeep Wrangler on Feb. 2016. This was my first oil change service - June 14th, 2016 was my first visit to the service department since I bought my 2016 Jeep Wrangler on Feb. 2016. This was my first oil change service - appt. 6/14/16 9:30 am. I was greeted by Jeff Snyder - He was friendly and was interested in my vehicle and what needed to be done. I also requested that the service technician would install my mopar hood locking device to add additional security to my vehicle. I researched the installation processes - based on time and materials needed. I didn't have the heavy duty rivet gun - I was able to rent the tool from Blue Springs Rental for $12 for 3 hours. Based on the how to videos - it would take approx. 10 minutes or less to do the install. Very straight forward process. I was informed by Jeff that the technician estimated 2 hours’ worth of work to do the install. Yes, I was shocked and very annoyed for several reasons. I informed Jeff that I am not a stupid, a moron, or even naive to believe that 2 hours was appropriate for this simple task. I also again, mentioned that I researched the process online. And, there is no way it would take 2 hours to install. I asked if the same technician was going to do my oil change - he said YES. I stated that I didn't want that technician to do my oil change for several reasons. 1. He was incompetent - due to the fact it would take 2 hours to install a simple device. 2. He was unethical. 3. He was stealing / cheating me out of my hard earned money. 4. I didn't trust that he would do what was needed to my vehicle based on the above concerns. I do believe, if this technician quoted me 2 hours to do a simple function and charging the billable high rate to rip me off and pocket the money – I do believe, he is doing it to other customers and getting away with it. I question everything – there needs to be processes in place to where the service advisors need to question what the service technicians are quoting the customers. Jeff, should have questioned the 2 hours’ service charge, especially when I stated that it should only take max 15 minutes to install the hood locking device. I ended up paying only $20 for the service, which is fair. Based on the time and install process. I am a first impression and customer service kind of person – And, my first impression of the service department was very poor. Yes, I could go on, on other processes that need to be implemented based on my observations of my visit. I spoke to Troy, of what took place and he was very concerned and interested in my situation.
