I never expected that my Toyota Highlander would break down while I'm driving it without a warning in my vehicle. Especially since I barely drove it due to covid and I never missed a maintenance appointme down while I'm driving it without a warning in my vehicle. Especially since I barely drove it due to covid and I never missed a maintenance appointment and only had 32,000 miles on my 2017 vehicle. I purchased it new with an extended warranty. I was distraught. Chris Wilshire is the best service manager. He ordered my part and he was very kind, professional, and empathetic to my situation. I can definitely say that he is an outstanding gentleman. You just can't find people that are sincere about the things that they do for their customers anymore. This is the reason that McGeorge Toyota should never lose this man! More
My new to me 2018 Camry has been to McGeorge Toyota for service twice. The first time was for routine maintenance. The service department personnel were very pleasant, but came up with a long list of ver service twice. The first time was for routine maintenance. The service department personnel were very pleasant, but came up with a long list of very expensive things the car needed including; brake fluid flush, transmission fluid flush, cabin air filter... This was over a thousand dollars of stuff that I didn't feel was really necessary or reasonably priced. In fact, I knew the cabin filter was fine because I had pulled it out and knocked a little dust out of it just days before this visit. Apparently this list is generated based on mileage and they don't actually look at anything on the car. No, just do the service I came to get. They were OK with that and only applied mild pressure to add things from their list. The second visit was for a safety recall repair that had to be done by a Toyota dealer. This visit should have cost nothing, but once again they came out with a list of things my car needed. We already had a conversation about things like cabin filter and brake fluid flush when I dropped it off, so they didn't try those again. This time they said the brake pads needed replacing, and the car failed their alignment check. I was quoted well over $600 to replace brake pads, and $99 for the alignment. OK, tires are expensive, so I went ahead and had them do the alignment, but I can buy brake pads for this car for less than $100 and I am not paying to replace brake pads that just passed the VA State inspection two months ago. according to the inspection sticker on the windshield. When I got home and looked at the pads, they are perfectly OK. Then I looked at the printout provided with the before and after alignment numbers. There is still one adjustment on one tire in the red! McGeorge is pressuring people to do work that isn't necessary and the work I agreed to have them do was not done very well. More
I took my Camry to McGeorge Toyota for state inspection on 6/9/22. I received a call from Michael Foster informing me that I needed to replace my front brakes and rotors to pass inspection. I told Michae on 6/9/22. I received a call from Michael Foster informing me that I needed to replace my front brakes and rotors to pass inspection. I told Michael that I'd have someone else do the work and to fail the inspection. When I picked up my car, I saw that it passed inspection and all the documentation backed that up. I located the Service Manager, Chris Wiltshire, and told him about this and that this was both unethical and illegal. He committed to looking into it and getting me an explanation the next day. He called me on 6/10/22 and said he spoke with Michael and checked the paperwork and could find no documentation that stated my car failed the inspection. He said Michael did not remember telling me that the brakes needed to be replaced to pass inspection. Needless to say, I was not happy that I was lied to about needing brakes to pass inspection and then being told that the lie was not documented! I would caution any reader to avoid doing business with McGeorge Toyota. However, if you must, be sure to get everything you are told IN WRITING. If you receive a call, ask them to follow up with an email or text. If this happens to you, I suggest reporting it to the Virginia State Police, the better Business Bureau and More
It is interesting that McGeorge Toyota apologizes for bad service and asks that you call. When I had a problem there I called - I talked to the General Manager who was as rude as the lying service departmen service and asks that you call. When I had a problem there I called - I talked to the General Manager who was as rude as the lying service department that tried to cheat me on buying a tire that I did not need. My last two cars purchased there. Run. Worse dealership I have ever dealt with - very unprofessional. They back each other’s lies up as high up as the GM. Quite despicable. More
Michael Munford did a great job! He checked the car availability, was able to secure a great loan, provided a Car Fax report, explained the details of McGeorge's certified vehicle program and was all a availability, was able to secure a great loan, provided a Car Fax report, explained the details of McGeorge's certified vehicle program and was all around very professional. He stayed beyond his work shift to ensure a smooth process. Kevin Lanier also did an outstanding job processing the financing. It was smooth & painless. More
My experience at McGeorge Toyota has been a long agonizing journey. I took my car into get serviced because it was still under warranty. It took an entire week to do a small job. Two days after the agonizing journey. I took my car into get serviced because it was still under warranty. It took an entire week to do a small job. Two days after the repair, the car breaks down again. My service rep, Ben, told me that the only way to find out if it was related to the repair was to bring it in. After bringing it in, Ben informed me that if it wasn't related to the warranty repair, they would charge me for it. Quite the bait and switch, but it gets worse. They don't even plug my vehicle to their toyota software, but just a simple car diagnostic tool. Then they turn around and tell me that it will cost over $3k to fix it. Luckily I have my own diagnostic equipment otherwise I might fall for their less than scrupulous business practices. Do not go here for service even if you bought your car here. More
First Time Car Owner - Very Happy I needed a part for my 1998 Toyota Rav4. It's my first car, I bought it used and very cheaply six days ago, (a Saturday), and I've never purchased auto parts before. I was able to find my part and verify the fit for a 22 year old car, within 20 minutes. I ordered the part on a Sunday, it arrived the following Thursday (today). I'm in Seattle and it shipped from Virginia, so that's fast shipping in my opinion, and for a reasonable shipping cost. The part was an exact match for the original. Car works great now. I will definitely use this dealer again if I need to. More
