My experience with the service department was outstanding. I was having a fuel pump problem on my 2002 Volvo that has 130k. The cost would have been.around $700. Before I stepped into the Torrington Volvo deal I was having a fuel pump problem on my 2002 Volvo that has 130k. The cost would have been.around $700. Before I stepped into the Torrington Volvo dealership I called Volvo directly and spoke to Bart. He answered all my questions and listened to my terrible experience at another dealership and.offered me some choices. Bart was very patient and directed me to the Torrington Volvo dealership and said he could not guarantee me anything. He said to call back his direct number when I made the appointment so he could email the service manager. I called him back and left a voice mail. Bart immediately called me back (I know, amazing he called back) explaining exactly what he was going to do. When I walked into the dealership I was greeted by a very friendly sales crew who were more than happy to talk about anything. I didn't buy anything. I walked back into the service center and met Edge Smith who dropped everything to hear my story. He explained the process and set me up with a loaner so I would not be stranded for a few days at home. I came back the mext day to drop off my car to get fixed with no guarantees and to pick up my loaner. I met Steve Norton the manager. The loaner and paperwork were ready to go and I did not have to wait more than 5 minutes. They said it might take a few days to fix. I left a phone in the car so the very next morning I called the service center and spoke with Ed who stopped what he was doing and went to look for my phone in the car. He can back on the phone a minute later to say he found the phone and the car was fixed and ready for pick up. The whole experience was quick, extremely painless and very customer focused. The entire service team was outstanding and difficult to find or experience something like this today. Thank you to the entire team. I have already told many people and I will be back. Ernie P. More

Do not buy a car here Could not have had a worse experience. Mitchell Volvo is nothing but used car salesmen. Everything I had been told during a test drive disappeared whe Could not have had a worse experience. Mitchell Volvo is nothing but used car salesmen. Everything I had been told during a test drive disappeared when it came time to take delivery of the vechicle. The sales associate Todd additionally lied about the service records of the car and claimed that Mitchell Volvo sold the car, preformed all the services and took it in on trade. None of which where true according to the car fax of the vechicle. There was no customer focus and multiple broken promises. When confronted all he could say is "we would loose too much money" or "we don't do that take it or leave it". Over all the worst experience I have ever had buying a car. When I didn't take delivery of the vechicle it came time for them to return the REFUNDABLE deposit and was told by the manager we don't issue cash or cut checks you'll have to get the deposit from our Simsbury location, it'll take a day and you'll get a call when the check is ready. Two days later no call and the sales manager couldn't even return my voicemail. Each time I called the store asking for the manager I was sent to his voicemail and the calls where never returned. I had to call the Simsbury location in order to get my check issued. Mitchell Volvo shows no appreciation for repeat customers as I have bought cars from them in the past and is not trustworthy in anyway. They do nothing in terms of outreach to address customer service issues. I will never return. I urge anyone considering buying a car from Mitchell to go to ANY other delarship, you will be much better off. More
