I had a flat tire so I went to this Honda dealer to get it fixed and had my 70.000 miles service done. I had the 70.000 service completed, however since the tire prices were so much higher than NTB, I decided to go to NTB for my tire change. At Mungenast, they patched up my flat tire (rotated it so that it was not at the front) and I drove to NTB. After getting new tires, then my car started pulling to the right. I called Mungenast to figure out why my car may be pulling to the right because in the end they did the rotation. And they told me in order to figure this out I need to go in and pay $160 in diagnostic tests! Are you kidding me? And they started blaming it on the NTB guys because they did something wrong... In any case, I got the problem fixed by the great help of NTB, it may be a discount tire store, but in terms of customer service they were way better than Munganest, they tasted the alignment and everything for free and put the tires in a way to reduce the pulling to the right. In the meantime, I complained to the Mungenast customer service department, they said a supervisor was to call me, but no surprise, no-one called me back. Horrible customer service in my opinion...

I want to give you some feedback on how excellent your Service Advisors are. My experiences with all of them have always been terrific, so kudos to each of them. Furthermore, on my recent visit for multiple services on my CRV, I was under Gary Opitz's care and advisement. He is probably one of the most professional, respectful, and action-oriented people I have ever interacted with. He is extremely knowledgeable, he ensures I understand everything, he explains the options, he works with me, and I trust him. He is so competent, that I always follow his advisement when it comes to my vehicle. Please remember, I have had great experiences with all your service advisors, and should have written a commendation or two before now, but I just spent a thousand dollars to get a lot of necessary work done on my 2002 CRV, and I am happy about it! I love my vehicle, and that Gary and all your Service Advisor's, 'have my back'. One final note, imagine your Service Center extremely busy, and Gary multi-tasking at Roadrunner grace and speed... well as I, or any client stands at the service desks, in a nanosecond Gary returns to the serene pace with the client, as if the place was slow as molasses and you are the only client. That's just brilliant. I don't know how he does that, but the way he handles heavy traffic in the Service center is that of a natural born leader. Please commend him on his excellence.

I recently bought my car from Mark Wichman. I had a very good experience.But when it started acting up i took it to the service department to get it checked out. Brett Mathis was the man I spoke to. He told me that the test to diagnose my car would take an hour or so, so I had someone pick me up and I told him to call me when it was done. I got a call like 3 hours later telling me it was all done. So I went to the dealership to pick it up. He told me that he performed the test and he told me what was wrong. Then he told me he couldnt do anything til monday because my warranty company wasnt open til monday.I said ok. Then he told me that I could pay the 89.95 today that way on monday when I brough my car back I would only have to pay 10.00 for the rest of my deductable for my warranty or if it wasnt covered the diagnoses was taken care of. So of course I paid it. I asked if there was anyway I could get a loaner car because my car likes to sparaticaly die while I am driving, he told me that he couldnt do that so I just took my car home. So I was talking to mark my salesman and he told me that Brett told him that he couldnt diagnose it. When mark asked him why he said I didnt have an appointment. First off I made my appointment on Wednesday May 4, 2011 for Saturaday May 7,2011 when I initially brought it in. So I DID HAVE AN APPOINTMENT!!!! And he told me he DID diagnose it. So which is it, he DID or he DIDNT diagnose it???? I am not sure I trust the service department anymore. And if the Mungenast Family likes to hire people like BRETT MATHIS I think I will probably take my business soemwhere else.

I recently purchased a new Honda Accord at Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda on S. Lindbergh. I couldn’t be happier with the car. Everything on the Accord works flawlessly. This car is truly a “work of art” and a real pleasure to drive. This is the first time I have ever taken the time to write a review about a car buying experience, but I was so inspired by the “Royal” treatment I received at the dealership that I felt that other people needed to hear. This was, by far, the most “painless” new car purchase I have ever made. I would like to take a moment to mention how much I enjoyed working with Paul Hartge and his handling of every aspect of the purchase. Paul is a seasoned professional who knows the product line well but more than that, he adds a personal touch that made me glad I chose Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda. Paul made the whole process an enjoyable experience from start to finish. No hassles, just answers. I look forward to working with Paul when I buy my next Honda from Dave Mungenast.

I had a 50,000 mile maintanence done (the check engine light pops on for this), for my 2005 CRV. This includes an oil change and tire rotation. The Mungenast service team failed to rotate my tires. I marked my tires with chalk and wrote down distinguishing marks of each of my tires and where they were positioned. If they fail to do something as simple as rotate tires I would be very leary of other work. I don't even trust that they changed my oil.

I have a whole house full of Hondas that only get serviced at Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda. The service and parts departments have always been very kind and humble to me. I have never been to place where every single person is friendly and full of joy. It's almost as if the employees are at home and not at their jobs. Overall Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda has been the best dealership that I have ever been to. So next time you need service and think about the other local dealers (Bommarito Honda or Honda of Frontenac), think twice and come see why I have been so happy with the service at Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda.

"My 2005 Accords a/c stopped working on the hottest day so..."

My 2005 Accords a/c stopped working on the hottest day so far in St Louis so I took it to the service dept at Dave Mungenast St Louis Honda for estimate/repair. They found that a "rare occurrence" of a bearing coming loose inside the compressor, destroying it and sending metal shards throughout the entire system, required the entire system be replaced @ $3,255.00. The KBB value was only listed at $6,200 so I decided not to fix it. I immediately called Gary Jones to locate me another Accord with same features as my existing vehicle. He returned my call that same day but learned that the vehicle found was a demonstrator with 5,xxx miles so he expanded the search to 7 surrounding states. A dealer trade was completed & my new 2010 Accord was picked up and delivered to me on Saturday. Of course I would recommend this dealership to everyone, as this was my second experience, and I did refer a customer to them in June. Gary Jones and Ivo Saric are outstanding associates that provided proactive, friendly, knowledgeable and excellent customer service. They are great ambassadors of the Dave Mungenast and Honda’s values.

I took my automobile on the hottest day of the year (so far) to St Louis Honda's service department because my a/c stopped working. Left it over-night, was notified the next morning that it was going to cost me $3,255 to fix. I called Gary immediately, asked him to find another with everything that was on my 2005 Accord (bought my first from Gary in May 2005) the same Red, brand new. The first found was everything except new (demo w/5,xxx miles) so he widened his search to 7 states and located one! A dealer terade was processed & someone went to pickup my new car Saturday morning. Gary called me at 10am to let me know it would be in that day (it was still very hot). He thwn called me at 1:00 to advise it should be available by 2:15. The vehicle was everything I wanted (except for my '05 a/c to have not broken) plus there was several item that I didn't really want so I didn't pay extra for them. We now have 2 brand new Honda's (a 2010 Ridgeline & my Accord) along with my 2005 bought from Gary. He is very good, knowledgable and professional and a great steward of the high values and customer service Honda wishes to project. Gary, as well as Ivo Saric (financing), both have my high regards and respect.

We came to St. Louis Honda after looking for dealers in the Yellow Pages. We did not know anything about ANY St. Louis dealers at that time. My daughter needed a dealer in St. Louis to get her out of state auto serviced. We first met Shan Herwing. She was honest, extremely friendly, and had a no pressure and "no bull" style. We then met Dave Gierse. They really knew their products were extremely professional as well as courteous. In my over 60 years, these were exceptional people in the car business!
