Justin spent most of the day with my wife and I , test driving cars and finding us financing. Poor guy probably missed two or three other sales, he was great for us. Very energetic and friendly. I had a great experience with Heather and Brian at the initial visit to the dealership, when I purchased my car. Since then, everything went downhill. My check engine light has come on 3 times, and every initial visit to the dealership, when I purchased my car. Since then, everything went downhill. My check engine light has come on 3 times, and every time I call them they tell me to make an appointment with their service department. I call the service department, they tell me to call the Manager. Always a circle. In addition, the car I traded in had a title loan on it. When I bought the new car, they told me the pay off amount cap was $163. Turns out they hadn't even called the loan place to find out for sure. After I bought the car, 2 weeks later, Brian called me to tell me that the payoff was actually $460 and I was responsible for that or they would take the car back. I reminded him what he told me when I bought the car, he cut me off every sentence and said that No No No, remember that we only knew the $800 title loan amount, not the payoff amount. I tried to correct him and say well you told me this. Anyways, I had to pay that off. Everything is just super shady, I feel they treated me one way to get me to buy the car and all their slime is coming out of the wood work. Heather however, was great to work with and I haven't dealt with her since. I hope that now that I have the car, the engine doesn't break down and then I'm totally screwed. More

After realizing i was still making payments on my car, Mike Menser offered me to trade into another car off the lot.This was something i never expected to hear and made all of my frustration disappear. I've spoken with him and jamie eady since, who have both been very helpful in trying to get me into a different car that will work for my situation. I appreciate their concern and responsibility in taking this into their own hands and can not wait to see what they have to offer me when i have a chance to get over to that side of town. They have told me they have multiple cars for me to look at. However, after seeing my review on this website, a salesman named Darrell refused to show me any cars and yelled at me and argued with me until I cried. I would suggest speaking to Tarl, who seems to have many positive reviews on this website, or any other salespeople. I had every intention of posting a follow up review when Mike called and offered me another car, and was waiting to see how that went over, but my encounter with darrell has been very upsetting. I'm posting a positive review in relations to my treatment by the owner and sales manager. Shannon showed me some cars one day and was very professional and personable as well. So yes, now that things have panned out and i've calmed down about the situation, i would recommend this car lot. Just not darrell. More

This is going to be a long review. I will keep the main details in the beginning; I had a car that was worth $1500 (I felt it was worth what Ben motors offered me) but I owed $6000 on the loan. Therefore, I was turned down by everyone; from Easy Auto, JD Bryder, to Toyota of Knoxville, Terry Cunningham ford, ted russell nissan. Even Clayton Motors who is buy here pay here. It was sad. I gave up hope until I finally went to Ben Motors. When I sat down with Tarl, I told him I needed him more then he needed me. (Great way to make a deal) He said we will get it done. That night, he ran my credit (I had over 100 inquiries on my credit report due to the loan requests) Even though he knew my issues (most dealers I said that and they said come back when you are ready) and still Tarl took me to a 2009 Nissan Altima and we even took it for a test drive. (The first test drive out of all places) Car price $16,000 After we came back, I was like awesome car. But wasn't impressed cause I figured I would be walking out with my beat up car. He then said done deal. I had this feeling before, it always ends up bad. Well, he said here are the keys and my eyes lit up. I sat down with finance and they went over the deal. They offered me $3,000 for my trade in. This deal was unreal. Well, come to find out my finance charge was 17%. Two weeks later they said come back in, we need to talk about your deal. I came in and they were able to get me approved for another company at 14.5%. (how does a bad company actually pass that onto the customer, let alone spend their time to do that. The car runs great, no problems. I had an issue with corroded battery, but took it to Ben Motors repair shop where they cleaned it, and good as new. (Even the mechanic dropped what he was doing and did it for me right away.) Overall, the support was top notch, and the service is good so far. I hope this review helps, and believe me when I say I was turned down by everyone besides Ole Ben Motors. Just make sure you tell Tarl if you can get "him" approved, you can get anyone approved. More
