I had a great experience with Keenan at Park Place Mercedes today. The finance rep not so much. But he did make things right before I left. I would shop here again because of the customer service Keenan gave me!
" TAKE Before and After Pictures of Loaner Cars"
I received a loaner car to drive while my car was being repaired. I drove the car to my house and into my garage, where was parked until the next morning. There was a weather forecast of thunderstorms in Fort Worth for the evening, and I recall high winds and rain. However, there was no need for me to worry about the vehicle because it was parked in my garage.
I returned the car the next day. A different service representative met me, asked me to leave the keys in the loaner car, and go to the cashier inside to pay for my vehicle. Three days later I received a call from (R)- service representative who said he had been trying to reach me because of hail damage to the loaner car. I called him and was informed about the damage and he asked if I wanted to file the claim with my insurance company or pay for it. Needless to say, I was SHOCKED!!! How can a car get hail damage parked in the garage? If I had been at the mall or out driving and it started hailing, I would have shown the damage to the representative when I returned the car, but it was parked and protected inside of my closed garage. There was no damage to the vehicle when I returned it, and now I am being asked to pay for hail damage.
I appreciate the convenience of the loaner car, but I WILL NEVER reserve one again,
It is my word against their word. The only damage listed on my final invoice for the loaner was a scuff mark that was noted when I initially picked up the loaner. . I have a clear conscience about this matter because I know the car was protected in my garage, and there was no damage when I returned it. My greatest regret is I didn't take before and after pictures. Words of wisdom: Take Before And After Pictures of Loaner Cars to protect yourself. Get clearance paperwork for loaner car when you return it to keep in your own files BEFORE you leave the service center.
