Lengthy, gas missing, poor communication with customer My car was having problems starting so I took it to a dealership thinking that would be the best way to guarantee the problem would be solved. The fir My car was having problems starting so I took it to a dealership thinking that would be the best way to guarantee the problem would be solved. The first time I brought it there, they had the car for three days and ran diagnostics from which they found nothing wrong and did not recommend replacing any parts. When I got the car there was about 1/4 tank of gas missing from when I brought it. I don't know how much test driving is needed to make sure the car is functioning but this seems excessive. Took the car home and it immediately had trouble starting again. I brought it back since I did not want to pay another place to run the same diagnostics. They eventually replaced a sensor and said that would do it. This took another 8 days to complete. The center console was dirty when I picked it up (looked like the mechanic had grease on his arm when he rested it there). Throughout this whole process the service representative I was working with never called me with updates when he said he would so I had to continuously track him down. It is clear now why the subaru dealer the town over had a much longer waiting list to get a car checked. Will definitely wait the extra few days next time. More
