Waste of Time & Rude Salesman The customer service I received was absolutely horrific. I guess I should have looked at these reviews before stopping in. The vehicle I was looking at had a crack on the windshield. I understand things happen on the lot, not a problem. The salesman asked when I could come back - I let him know I could back Saturday so he said he would try to get the windshield fixed by then. Mind you I live 3 hours away from the dealership so it isn't just a simple trip. I also gave him my vin # for my vehicle that day as I was looking to trade in my car and he said well I can't do anything without looking at your vehicle(as I was driving with a friend in her vehicle that day). Honestly, the rude and unprofessional vibe I got from the salesman the first time around should have made me go with my gut but I finally found a car I truly was interested in so I didn't want to rule Volvo Ramsey out just yet. Saturday comes along - I stop in another dealership on the way and so I give the Salesman at Ramsey a call as a courtesy around Noon to let him know I was still planning on stopping in. The salesman decides to tell me THEN that the window is not fixed. Why would he not call me that morning so I didn't waste my time driving out there ??? When I arrived back at the dealership he still had a chip on his shoulder and acted like me showing up was an inconvenience to him and then asking for my VIN for the second time he threw out a number without even looking at my vehicle. Again, why would he waste my time as he could have told me this information a few days prior when I was there the FIRST time if he wasn't going to even look at the car anyway??? I get it, the number is the number but what happened to transparency? This could of been discussed the first time, so I didn't waste my time or his. To top it off the salesman was extremely rude and condescending. I have never been treated so poorly in a customer service setting in my life. What an upsetting and terrible waste of a Saturday. More

With no prior to purchase discussion we were presented with continuing service insurance. First it caused us concern that the car would fall apart often and soon. Then it was presented as if it was a must not an option. The car is costly enough as it is and there didn’t seem to be any wiggle room in the price so this made us angry and lowered the good expectations we had up to then. I truly hope that servicing will not prove a problem. More

Recent sale experience vs. consistently EXCELLENT SERVICE Last month I purchased my fifth car, the second Volvo, from Ramsey Cars. I returned to my same sales person, with whom I had purchased three previous Last month I purchased my fifth car, the second Volvo, from Ramsey Cars. I returned to my same sales person, with whom I had purchased three previous vehicles. This purchase was a bad experience from the beginning. We agreed on the vehicle, price, trade, etc. However, the vehicle would not be Volvo certified, although I requested that it be repeatedly. The financing was one that I would never recommend. I stated my loan amount and was continually pushed to a significantly higher amount, more than double. The result was a loan for $25K which I refused (perhaps a larger commission?). My final loan was still put in for a higher amount. I was told that I could make a payment to principal and drop the amount! Total disrespect. I then discovered the "new" tires that were put on the car were SUMMER tires, which I must replace come the Fall with All Season. It is now FIVE weeks since purchase, and I still do not have the transferred registration. The Temporary registration expires tomorrow. What more can I say, but a very poor sales experience. Service, on the other hand, has been consistently wonderful for the past seven years! More
