Good morning Michael, I just reviewed your service records with us and found that you were not charged for a brake fluid flush or wheel alignment during your visit in January. You were only charged for the oil change, which is the basis for your service appointment with us. We had recommended a 4 wheel alignment, along with 4 tires due to wear. (All 4 tires are at the minimum thickness for safety.) We have not recommended a brake fluid flush since 2023, at which time you declined that service. The only other item that has been recommended was a replacement of the seals on your front engine cover, due to leaking oil. We did not recommend any diagnosis time for this repair, only the time to complete said repair. Ray Catina Mercedes in Freehold Chris Paserba -Service manager Michael Lonigro- Service advisor They were supposed to diagnose my car on Thursday and they let it sit until Monday when they knew something was draining the battery. I got a call Monday evening from Michael Lonigro telling me my car would not start even with a jumpstart for them to test the car. I had a warranty on my battery so I was not going to pay $600 for a battery he quoted over the phone, therefore I had to pay $300 to have the car towed when I could have driven it away. They started my car right up with a jumpstart on Tuesday and drove it over to the tow truck. I couldn’t believe they lied to me & said the battery was completely dead & would not start with a jump. Michael left early on Tuesday & the service manager Chris said that he could not do anything for me until he spoke to Mike in the morning, being he was not answering his phone. When I called first thing the next morning Mike told me that he spoke to Chris and they would not pay for my tow. He also wanted to charge me $189 for work that they never did! Very unprofessional! And they want a 5 star review!

Good morning Ms. Gumble, This is in response to your Google review from my Service Manager: "The technician tried jump starting the car with a jump box and nothing happened. We recommended replacing her AFTERMARKET battery with a MB one, considering the battery test showed low voltage. She declined. Mike then told her that it will need to be towed out. She came in last night to pick it up with a tow truck, and it DID start when we used two jump boxes at the same time. I spoke with her and she yelled at me saying I am a liar, although I spoke with her for all of 30 seconds and explained that I was not aware about what her vehicle was here for, nor do I know that the diagnosis result. I told her that Mike would reach out this morning, which he did. She demanded we pay for her tow bill, which I declined." AND Michael didn’t charge her for the diagnosis as her review claims." The dealership would not offer you a loaner because the vehicle is a 2010 well out of warranty. The loaner fleet at the Ray Catena stores are designated for those customers that buy or lease their cars from one of the MB stores in Freehold, Edison or Union. I can see that your car originated by another local Mercedes Benz dealership. Perhaps you would be better advised by working with them. Please keep in mind the factory requires us to offer transportation which is not limited to shuttle or Uber. Wishing you well and Happy Holidays. Leig

My “AFTERMARKET BATTERY” is an Interstate battery. Do some research. Interstates are the best batteries and possible interstate makes batteries for Mercedes. I’ve been reading a lot of reviews about Mercedes in freehold, unfortunately I didn’t read the reviews before I made my appointment. Happy Holidays to you too!
