I brought my Renegade in to have the air cooling fan replaced under a recall. The service was fine done with no charge. The problem I had was after the repair was done the employee I dealt with said the replaced under a recall. The service was fine done with no charge. The problem I had was after the repair was done the employee I dealt with said the check engine light was still on and it would cost $179 to run a diagnostic. It would cost me nothing if it was tied to the cooling fan but I would be charged if was anything else. I took the vehicle to my mechanic and he hooked up a computer to my car 3 minutes later he said it was tied to the fan. I can only assume that your dealership was trying to get money out of me because of the free recall work. I’ll never return to your dealership and would never recommend any aspect of your operation.
