"service department review"

on late afternoon, Thursday, 30 august 2018 I had my 2001 H1 hummer towed to Royal GMC Buick, 815 W. Automall Drive, Tucson, AZ 85705. (the vehicle would crank but the engine would not turnover (start). on Friday, 31 august 2018 I went to the dealership to check on the vehicle. at that time I met service advisor Mr. Chris Savastano and Master ASE and GM Certified Technician Mr. Joshua Dewitt. They both briefed me on the immediate status of the vehicle. Mr. Dewitt had already performed troubleshooting on the vehicle and got it to start so that it could be moved, under its own power, to a safer, out of the way, location prior to actually being worked on. that was the FIRST thing that impressed me about this duo of service advisor and certified technician. before I left the dealership I was presented with a verbal plan on how the troubleshooting and possible repair actions would proceed. no promises were made as to when the vehicle would be ready; however, there were assurances made that the mechanical problem would be identified and the vehicle repaired. during the entire two week process Mr. Savastano kept me informed as to the status of the job and the progress being made. I also had an occasion to speak with Mr. Dewitt and he provided me with his troubleshooting methodology and his opinion as to what might have caused the failure of the engine to start. on Friday, Friday, 31 august I was able to pick up the vehicle. it was in perfect running condition. and I would like to add that it was cleaner both inside and out than when it arrived at the dealership! this was the SECOND thing that most impressed me. Mr. Savastano was completely professional and was available to talk to me for as long as I required. and his pricing for the job was outstanding, taking into consideration what I had previously paid for labor at Royal Hummer on speedway and Columbus and also taking into account my prior military service. what impressed me the MOST was Mr. Dewitt's qualifications as a military trained HUMVEE mechanic! when I first learned of that I immediately felt relief and confidence that my vehicle was in good hands. also impressive was Mr. Dewitt's obvious enthusiasm for his job and his eagerness to tackle the challenge of isolating the problem(s) with my vehicle. HE DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB of identifying and correcting the problems within my vehicle's engine, charging system, and "lift" pump system. I will most definitely be returning to this Royal location for any future H1 Hummer needs. OUTSTANDING!!

"Purchased used vehicle"

I recently purchased a certified preowned vehicle. My sales person was Aaron Rubio. He was very pleasant and took as long as I needed to make a decision. He found just the car I was looking for. This is the third auto I have purchased from Royal. Great customer service and their service department continues the same customer service.

"Brought my car in for service and was looking at new cars. "

Ryan was introduced to me and I was interested in test driving the new Enclave. After seeing the 2019 Avenir, I was really interested. Ryan was a pleasure working with and enjoyable to talk with. He could not have been more helpful. It was a great experience. This is my third Enclave. I love the size and look. I take friends with me on day and longer trips and I want to drive. Ryan spent time with me showing me all the new features and made sure I was comfortable with them. He even offer to come by my house and program the garage door. Very happy with Ryan Lapotosky!!

"Exceptional Service & Customer Care by Josh Dewitt"

I have used Royal Service Department for 14 years. Chris Savastano, Service Writer is very helpful in scheduling appointments that fit my schedule and explaining what repairs & service is needed. My mechanic Josh Dewitt is the best mechanic I have had. Josh will provide detailed explanations on repairs, what could be needed or will be needed and why. I am very satisfied with the work of Josh Dewitt & I will use Royal Service for all of my car service & repairs. I highly recommend using Royal Service Department.

"Above and Beyond Service by Josh Dewitt"

I want to acknowledge Chris Savastano (service writer) and Josh Dewitt (Master ASE Certified and Master GM Certified mechanic) at Royal Buick GMC for their outstanding customer service. I took in my 2015 GMC Sierra SLT 1500 for transmission shifting issues. Josh’s thorough inspection and diagnostic skills enabled him to know the exact steps to take in order to resolve the 8L90 8-Speed Transmission shifting issue. When I picked up my truck, Josh articulated the problem and the steps he took to resolve the issues. He went so far as to explain potential symptoms to monitor in the future, took the time to make sure I thoroughly understood the issues/diagnosis, and ensured I was completely satisfied with the results. I would highly recommend Josh Dewitt to anyone in need of GM service at Royal Buick GMC.

"Don't Stand Behind Customers"

I purchased a brand new 2018 GMC Terrain in December and have had nothing but trouble. The purchase process at Royal GMC is great, but the service department is another story. Chris Savastano is a great asset to the company and has done everything that he could, within his powers, to resolve my issue. My issue is not with Chris, but with Royal GMC in general. I have had to take my car in to have it repaired three times now for the same issue and they've replaced the same part twice, and provided a service update from GM during my second visit to try to resolve my issue. Other's in the Service Department are not as pleasant as Chris and can be condescending as if they don't believe that my car isn't functioning proper. I've resolved myself to video record the issues now so that I can. be believed. It is very frustrating to be treated in this manner after spending the money to purchase a new car so that I could have confidence traveling, but I do not have confidence in this vehicle after the third repair for the same exact issue, and I don't have confidence in Royal GMC either.

"Amazing help for a tricky vehicle problem."

Mike had been my service advisor at Royal Buick on speedway. He was always friendly and quick with any new car problems that needed attention. I would stop in at Royal Cadillac occasionally when I had my Cadillac serviced, Mike was not my service rep but I had confidence in his opinion about the 2 year problem I was having with my 2007 Hummer H3. After $2000 and two years and days of service time trying to get my 80K mile vehicle summer comfortable at another dealer ship, I was ready to trade it in. Mike told me to bring it in and give him a try to fix it. So this spring I did that when my A/C quit. It was a miracle in my mind that Mike and his technician solved the problem in a half morning. Mike is a very dedicated service rep and I wish I had gone to him three years ago. You can't find a better service location in Tucson. PLEASE NOTE I SELECTED GMC FOR BRAND BECAUSE HUMMER IS NOT LISTED?
