I dealt with Lucas at Sands Chevrolet in Surprise, collision. The workmanship was superb. Lucas kept me informed the entire time my vehicle was being worked on. I love my Silverado. This is my second attempt at writing an honest review of my experience at this service department. My first review resulted in a 6 pm screaming match phone call with the service department manager, Derrick. my experience at this service department. My first review resulted in a 6 pm screaming match phone call with the service department manager, Derrick. He offered a new battery, but I declined because I was really worried about a confrontation if I came back. I called at 8 am on Monday morning to get a quote on having the spark plugs and wires replaced on a 2011 SS Camaro with 80k miles because it's due and on my list of things to have done. I also mentioned it was having a slight hard start, so I assumed it would be the plugs or battery. This was my own process of elimination while addressing the plug maintenance. Derrick Phillips advised me not to "just throw a set of plugs in it" and instead let him diagnose it. I immediately felt this was a sales tactic to get a diagnosis fee, but he never once mentioned it. He also advised me to drop the car off and get a complimentary Lyft ride home as the wait would be about 3 hours. However, I also assumed this was a sales tactic to keep my vehicle overnight and perform unnecessary expensive repairs when I simply wanted a quote for the spark plugs and wire replacement. I declined the ride and waited for 5 hours right up until closing just to get an estimate for $11,408.91 of other things he suggested I replace, or have the battery replaced for $570.02 to resolve the minor start issue I was attempting to take care of. I declined everything as I felt my request was ignored. Instead of just quoting me for the plugs, I got a quote for nearly $12,000 in recommended repairs that didn't even include my original maintenance request. On top of this, the price of replacing the battery was so grossly overpriced that I no longer felt like I could trust anything he said. I was pretty mad about the whole experience and just paid the $207 diagnosis fee and left a 1-star review, only to have Derrick, the manager, call me and turn the conversation into a screaming match until I agreed to remove the review and come get a new battery the next day. I avoid auto repair places because of the negative connotation of being taken advantage of. I chose to take my car here based on an experience I had with Jerry Moore, Sands co-owner, years ago, but it turned into the worst auto repair experience I've ever had. More

I came in for oil change and I got a free oil change, free tires and breaks. I have a handicap granddaughter that I help my daughter to take care of and the free services came right on time. My car was delivered for service via Chevrolet roadside service to Chad F. As usual he went above and beyond to get everything I needed fixed and called me to let me know what was needed before moving in. service to Chad F. As usual he went above and beyond to get everything I needed fixed and called me to let me know what was needed before moving in. Like my key for the wheel locks was no longer in the car so he called and asked what I wanted to do because it needed a tire rotation and balance. And before my niece picked up the car he made sure everything was working properly, all updates were taken care of and the recall was taken care of and safe for the road. I have had Chad for car service since 2014 and I am out of state and currently and he still took very good care of me and my niece and I will always be thankful for him and I will always and have in the past referred the Glendale dealership and also said to make sure to see Chad for service because he takes care of his customers. I'm sure everyone does but Chad doesn't treat me like a female that knows nothing. I give Chad 5 stars also. More

My family member went in to service their new car only to find employees gathering, no masks, no precautions in place for safety of COVID 19. When businesses everywhere have placed precautions these folks ar find employees gathering, no masks, no precautions in place for safety of COVID 19. When businesses everywhere have placed precautions these folks are all hanging around the water cooler so to speak chatting no social distancing and clearly no care in the world we are living in today with a state "lit" up with 1000 plus cases a day. Sands must not have gotten he memo that businesses still have people at work from home and others are full force safety! And forget the so called cleaning to the inside it did NOT happen says the dust still on my dashboard. Management will dismiss your concerns and suggest they don't have to follow any mandates from the state too. Dealers down the street from these folks are complying run or drive to those. OUTRAGED More
