Initially drawn in by their appealing online advertisements, I was excited to visit the dealership in person. However, upon arrival, I quickly realized that the reality did not align with the online facade. To start with, I was presented with a quote that included absurd "ETC" and "Lo-jack" charges, totaling thousands of dollars. These charges were not disclosed anywhere in their online listings or during our initial discussions. As if that wasn't bad enough, they had the audacity to demand an $895 processing fee, which is nearly double the industry standard of $395. But the real kicker came when I fell in love with a used car priced at approximately $21,850 online. I was prepared to pay the standard taxes, plates, and fees, bringing the total to a reasonable amount. However, to my shock and dismay, the final price skyrocketed to a non-negotiable $28,000! This blatant attempt to exploit customers with deceptive pricing practices is completely unacceptable. As someone who works in real estate, I understand the importance of transparency and fair pricing. Southern Buick failed miserably on both fronts. Despite the friendly demeanor of the salesperson and the appeal of the car, the exorbitant charges and non-negotiable pricing left a bitter taste in my mouth. In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone in the market for a used vehicle to steer clear of Southern Buick in Virginia Beach. Don't be fooled by their facade of professionalism and friendliness – beneath the surface lies a web of deceit and overcharging. Very upset with the state inspection and not being told my car was rejected for windshield wipers. I was recommended to change the wipers, but not told that it would cause rejection. Service agent recognized my license plate and called me by name as I entered the doorway!!! Its a pain to schedule service because the website doesn't work correctly when I use it. Aside from free oil changes there is no real reason for me to use the KIA service center. More
