I was lied to about why the engine light was on during my test drive. I was told it was a generic code that came up and that it could come from revving the engine too quickly. Very dissatisfied with the interaction and outcome of the visit. I dealt with Ronnie Watts. After driving a total of 8 hours round trip, I found this visit to be insanely disrepsectful in regards to my tim visit. I dealt with Ronnie Watts. I contacted the company two days before my appointment was scheduled and discussed the dissapointment experienced at another car lot the previous week that totally disrespected my time by misrepreseting their vehicle. Only to have a repeat offense from SS Automotive. Again, a misreprestation of their vehicle. After assuring me that their vehicle was in top notch shape, I arrived and the first thing out of Ronnie's mouth is a claim that the liftgate is not operating properly and he didn't know prior to my arrival. After all of that, he expected me to accept the vehicle as-is without any consideration for the inoperable liftgate on a 2012 BMW X5. REALLY!! A little common courtesy goes a long way!! And to top that off, this was a CASH Deal, not even looking for financing. WOW More

I wish I can honestly give no stars but even that would be too good. I was sold a junk car it was not drivable after a month and a half with less than 1000 mileage on it. Once I finally thought I had all this behind me I had to cancel my warranties and that alone is a hassle. No one calls you back and if you have caller ID they will NOT pick it up. Every single time I had to call up there I had to use my jobs phone. If I had to compare there customer service it would be to the Worst McDonald's you have ever experienced. If you want to save yourself time, energy, patience, money, and your sanity, do yourself a favor and go to a real dealership. If I could post pictures I would. More

Personable, honest, trustworthy, responsive, and relaxed. No pressure sales tactics at all - he empowered us as the customer to guide the process at our own pace. Before the sale was closed a third party inspection turned up a couple of minor issues, and Ronny took the initiative to immediately have those issues resolved before we proceeded with the sale. All of this took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was comforting that Ronny and all staff at Southern Star had adequate processes and procedures in place to mitigate risk due to the virus.
