We are traveling across country from Florida to Washington state and my 2021 Silverado 1500 diesel suddenly went into reduced power on the highway. We called Kendall Chevrolet first as they were closer to us. We advised that we just needed to find out what the code was for the check engine light to determine out next direction. We explained we were in a bit of a dire situation with 3 kids in the car and 200 miles between us and home. The lady at Kendall Chevrolet was incredibly rude and advised us that they couldn’t help us for a month and when we continued to try to explain that all we needed was the code pulled and that we were not local, she just got worse. Finally, she said that she “might” be able to have a tech run a code. I tried to ask for a guarantee that someone could help us because we didn’t want to drive backwards 12 miles on the highway in limp mode and she refused to confirm. Thankfully, we found our way to Steve’s Hometown Chevrolet. These guys are doing things right! They were more than happy to help us pull the code, had a tech come off lunch and get us back on the road. Customer Service and first impressions make a big difference!! Thanks guys!
