After a long search, my wife and I decided to make a 60 minute drive from Indiana to Lima, Ohio to look at Tom Ahl Hyundai. (There are plenty of dealerships in Fort Wayne, mind you, and none too impressive.) Their prices seemed to be great online, so we figured we had nothing to lose. Imagine our surprise when we found a dealership with extremely friendly people - all of them. Genuine people. Not people who you feel are friendly while also scheming to steal your wallet. We've not seen happiness in a dealership like this before, let alone many other businesses. Tom Ahl himself came out to greet us; a very calming man. They were well versed in their product and had a great selection of new and pre-owned Hyundai's as well as other foreign models. They were forthcoming with answers, and honest like we've never seen in a dealership. We found on staff a great group of people not only willing to share their great products and knowledge of them, but their faith in God as well. Our sales person mentioned that the Kingdom is first there. And when was the last time you dealt with a dealership sales manager who was also a youth pastor? This was probably the most complete, calming, and comfortable big purchase - let alone vehicle purchase - that we've made. We first dealt with sam long, who showed us many vans, but our specific van was not yet there. he kept a smile on his face, all the times we said no. he was not pushy. I like that. very much. He went over and above a professional duty, to find us a car, on or off his lot. He infact did turn up the vehicle that we liked. and we give a 5 star rating in all aspects of the business because of the professional matter that they kept. It was evident that there was a great deal of charactor in the employees. We met a very sweet girl named Mindy who handled all the paperwork and was extremely pleasant to deal with. In over 30 years of buying cars we have never encountered a more polished or professional group of individuals. The Tom Ahl team deserves no less than perfect marks for their approach to auto sales. We had lots of questions and spent several weeks working out the details of our purchase. Matt Steiner and Tom Brown answered every question and addressed every concern as though we were the most important customers they'd ever dealt with. Mindi Ahl handled our financing and insurance verifications. Because we took delivery of the new vehicle on Mindi's day off, Jeremy Addis stepped in to complete the paperwork. The transition was seamless and Jeremy, just like the other Tom Ahl professionals, really impressed us as he turned the paperwork part of the transaction into a seemingly effortless activity. When all of the signatures were in place Matt took us out to the vehicle and spent nearly an hour demonstrating the many features and functions of our 2012 Town and Country Limited. The entire transaction was pleasant and, dare I say it, enjoyable. We drove 2 1/2 hours to deal with the Tom Ahl dealership and, guaranteed, we will do it again when it's time to buy another car. I found the dealership on cars.com while searching for a Dodge Journey. The only color I was interested in was Mango Tango. When I found one listed at Tom Ahl I was crushed to find out it had just been so Dodge Journey. The only color I was interested in was Mango Tango.
