Hello Marin County community. We are writing this to provide fair warning that Toyota Marin is a fraudulent and deceptive business. My wife brought her car in for service, this was the second visit to provide fair warning that Toyota Marin is a fraudulent and deceptive business. My wife brought her car in for service, this was the second visit to this dealership and the second unprofessional experience. On both occasions, the car obtained body damage caused by the employees of Toyota Marin. As well, on the second visit, we were quoted $5000.00 for the repair of a fan blower motor. The part was quoted at $1000.00 and labor $4000.00. My wife decided that she would investigate the cost of the part and the labor required to repair the motor blower. Upon her research, the part cost is actually $100.00. With this knowledge, my wife decided that she would take apart the existing fan motor to determine if in fact the part needed to be replaced. Upon testing the part, we determined that the part was not in fact defective and only needed to be cleaned. Once we replaced the existing motor and confirmed that it was fully operational, we called Toyota Marin to inquire as to why they quoted $5000.00 to complete this repair. Of course, both Cam (Service Manager) and Erwin (Service Advisor) had no credible explanation for their fraudulent business practices. This organization has no ethics and they have proven this on two separate occasions. Clearly, the ownership of Marin Toyota are unethical business people and their business practices reflect in the actions and practices of their employees. I highly recommend taking your business to San Francisco Toyota. They are professional, honest and ethical people that understand what honesty and credibility mean to their customers. More

They will damage your vehicle - then charge you for it. Brought my car in for routine maintenance (oil change/tire rotation). It cost more than it should have, but that's what you get at a dealer. Here's where the adventure starts: The vehicle was returned to me with a smashed windshield. I'm not sure what goes on during an oil change here but the damage is simply unacceptable. After being left to wait with no explanation for over 20 minutes, I finally spoke to the service manager Jarod Scott. Scott repeatedly lied, contradicted and changed his story (cameras cover the garage, but there are parts we can't see, we didn't do the damage, but nobody saw it when the car was dropped off...). Scott refused to fix the situation - ultimately only offering a slight discount for a windshield repair which would take several more days - was this their plan all along? I tried to reason with Scott but through multiple lies and straight out fabrications I realized it was fruitless, like negotiating with jello. These fraudulent hucksters are simply trying to scam customers out of money with additional damage caused in-house. Avoid these horrendous grifters at all costs. More

I am happy that I got my dream car with this dealership, I was lucky to meet this young guy by name mr Martin at the entrance, he gave me a warm welcome, asked how can I help you I told him my mission, and I was lucky to meet this young guy by name mr Martin at the entrance, he gave me a warm welcome, asked how can I help you I told him my mission, and he took me in, from there, here we go, throughout the whole process that took about three hrs to end, me and Martin seem as if we have know each other for long time, he was friendly and professional. Again I meet Christopher the insurance guy, he was so good, he took time to explain everything about insurance to my to the language I understand. I appreciates all the staff , I will definitely bring my business back again to Toyota Marin. More
No respect for customers and their time Got a car from them in July 2017, with one key instead of 2. Made an appointment fir a second key, dropped my car. Come to pick it up next day - they FORGOT about my car. Nothing was done. The car was on their parking lot for entire day, with appointment, nobody touched it. When I come to pick it up they told me to come next time. Needless to say that I live far from them and need my car every day. I was very upset and wanted to complain that day - they were rude to me and told me there is no manager on duty you need to complain online. So, its February 2018 now, I still don't have second key. Called them multiple times, nobody to complain, nobody to help me. If you are a busy person, avoid them. They don't respect customers and their time. My car got never forgotten on the parking lot of repair facility with an appointment. That was a shock. Second shock - when I asked them "who can I complain about it" - "You can complain online". Replaced my radio w/o Sirius, Unresponsive and Liars This review is for the service I got two years ago and for the lack of customer service recently when trying to get my records. Two years ago... I This review is for the service I got two years ago and for the lack of customer service recently when trying to get my records. Two years ago... I got my car serviced at Toyota Marin. The had radio stopped working. Shutting off randomly at least a few times a day. Then finally completely dying on me. I scheduled an appointment with the Service Center to get it replaced. It took all day. Even with an appointment. When I got my car back, it no longer had Sirius radio. I called the Service Center and they said it must have been issues with the Sirius set up or a malfunction. A few weeks later and many calls to Sirius and the Service Center, Sirius told me it was an issue with the unit. The Service Center replaced my radio with the wrong type. The old unit had a ((XM)) symbol on it. And the new unit did not. Instead of wasting another day, missing work and waiting around, I didn't get it fixed. I didn't trust the Service Center with my car either. 3 months ago... I have been trying to contact the Service Center for 3 months - using the online contact form, by talking to someone through the chat, emailing, and calling and leaving a message. I even emailed the manager's email left on almost every Yelp review. No response. I had been paying for Sirius radio for 2 years without using it (It was billed on a yearly basis). I got rid of the car. I cancelled the service and Sirius offered me a refund credit if I got a letter from the Service Center proving that I didn't have use of the radio. Today... Toyota Marin doesn't want to admit they made a mistake. I gave them a chance to state the facts (my radio doesn't have Sirius) without admitting a mistake, but they instead the Service Director had the audacity to say I NEVER called and told anyone about my radio. Toyota Marin wasn't willing to make situation right. More
