This is a follow up to my previous review. The VW GM, Phil, and the VW service manager, Marquis, saw my negative review (admittedly posted in frustration and anger) and immediately contacted me to see how they could make things right. I was skeptical. I was thinking 'yeah, right...what are they really going to do?' Well, I am happy to say that they stepped up and offered me a fair solution to my complaint about a transmission repair that did not work. In fact, they offered to install a 'new' (60K on it) transmission and include a 1 year warranty with it for a significantly reduced price. All in all, putting even more money into the car wasn't fun BUT it made sense considering all the other new parts already in it. Marquis also worked with me on another repair that was found while they had it in the shop. It's only been 3 days since we picked the car up. But, so far, it is running beautifully, just like new! I feel so much better knowing my son is driving a safe and 'reliable' car while he is away at college. I also truly appreciate VW of Kingston for making things right when they could have screwed us by doing absolutely nothing and giving us the run-around. I have no reason NOT to recommend you guys...and I will! I will post a positive Facebook review too.
