My father and I were made an offer on a ‘24 Honda HR-V. This offer was ABOVE sticker price so we got in our vehicle and pulling away when stopped by a sales manager. He stated he would give us $4,000 off s This offer was ABOVE sticker price so we got in our vehicle and pulling away when stopped by a sales manager. He stated he would give us $4,000 off sticker price of $25,880, 5.9%, with $2,000 down. Once in the finance department things changed. We were told Honda would NOT finance unless we put more money down. Or capital one would finance but at 9.xx%. We weren’t prepared to put any more down so we signed papers with capital one. I was supposed to get a flash drive with the signed contract upon leaving. I did not. I tried contacting the dealership for several weeks. My first payment due 3/15 with autopay plus for the capital one loan. After making that payment, still not having any signed loan papers, I decided to look at my credit report. Shocked to find out my loan was actually with Honda Financial at 7.xx% instead of Capital one 9.xx%. Funny thing was, my payment was the exact same for each loan despite the 2% rate difference. Also, my father nor I signed papers with Honda Financing. It’s been almost a month now and I still haven’t gotten this resolved. I was made aware that I was charged $1,488 for “aftermarkets” (I DECLINED any extras). Rob said he would mail a check for that but yet to receive it. This has and continues to cause me great stress!!! Buyer BEWARE WHAT A NIGHTMARE UPDATE: I filed a complaint with the BBB and FLHSMV. Within minutes, I received a phone from Joe at Honda of Sarasota stating since I filed the complaints and gave a bad review he would not be sending me the check for the “aftermarkets.” I also received an email from the finance department showing me yet another set of numbers that don’t match the “signed” contract. They are now charging me $1,995 for their “Honda Advantage” which I was told came at no additional cost when I bought the car on 3/1. More

Ok but not as good as usual. Service tech forgot to reset my car's service warning, and my oil level showed as 15% when it should have been 100% after the oil change. When I realized this the day after my service, it caused me to look under the car, and I saw what I thought was an odd oil leak. This in turn caused me to take the car to a nearby mechanic as I didn't want to have to drive all the way back to Sarasota Honda. So I went without my car for a night only to find out that the leak was due to how the coolant was done by Sarasota Honda, and that there was no oil leak, just the check engine and 15% oil level induction due to tech not reseting as noted. More
