What Others Say

This is the worst Dealership in the Columbia Area Trust me they are just not to be trusted nor waste your time. AS THEY KNOW that they made a mistake and don't have the backbone to admit it They don't care if your happy or not. They are crooks that are doing people in and around West Columbia Wrong Just so not deal with these idiots. Trust someone who loves the Carolina's and reside in West Columbia for 30 years .I hate that I live within Walking distance from this dealership as I have to drive by this xxxx poor dealership every day

Not a shred of honesty here. Not honest with price, not honest with cost of dealer add on's, not honest with the cost of extended warranties, nothing is honest. High pressure and rudeness are the norm here. If you have your own financing they will twist you like a pretzel until you go with one of their banks. If you do make the mistake of purchasing from here just know in advance you will pay $5K more here because of Boulware Benefits and Car Technology fee. Boulware benefits are a series of items that have no true value. The Car Technology fee is for vehicle tracking with appears to be an invasion of your privacy more than a benefit. I will travel 500 miles to get a good deal on the vehicle I want. This gave me not just this Boulware Toyota dealership in my search but several more. Fees are excessive. One had a $1299 Doc fee. Another had Boulware benefits as high as $3499. Peter Boulware is a retired NFL player that made millions during his career. Seems line he has dedicated himself to continue to make millions at the expense of his customers. You see Boulware on the dealership, keep on driving by,. Stopping will only cost you thousands of dollars for worthless dealer add ons.

I want to thank both Charles in the service department and General Manager Lee Pryor for all of their help with taking care of both my wife and my son’s cars. They helped diagnose the issue with my wife’s Avalon and my son’s Honda Accord. Charles was professional and extremely honest in telling us what was wrong and the cost for the repairs. Charles went up and beyond our expectations for quality service. I am always leery of dealerships but I will bring all 4 of my cars here to get worked on in the future. Can’t thanks both of them for their fair and honest help in getting both cars repaired and taken care of in a timely and fair price. Thanks to Peter Boulwares staff for doing things the right way! You have loyal customers for life!!

Bitter Lesson Extreme Hard Sell- Beware The salesperson was nice, polite - However, when moved to the sign the paperwork, the financial person was extremely high pressure, rude, would not take no for an answer. Actually argued to try to get me to buy a warranty for the new car. I have never seen anything like it. I wasted 3 hours in the office. Finally, I signed the paper work for an extra warranty, so I could get out of there - and flat cancel the warranty later in the month. That’s how unpleasant it was. I am getting older and don’t feel like arguing for hours. I just needed a new car. (Remember, you have 30 days to cancel a warranty. Put it in writing that you want to cancel the warranty, include the vin number, sign and date it, and give it to the dealer. Follow up and make sure they actually submit it for cancellation before the 30 days is up. I had to call the warranty company to send me a cancellation form, because the dealership wouldn’t do it.) Once home, I discovered I had signed for, not one, but two warranties on the electronic docupad on his desk. So, as I was signing things quickly to get out of there, I signed for 2 warranties, one I didn’t agree to. Note: If he tells you, like he did me, at the start of the process, ‘there are cameras in this office, but no microphone, so I don’t want you coming back here saying you didn’t explain it to me,’ look out. Walk out, or start recording the whole thing with the microphone on your cell phone. Beware of this place when signing the paperwork - which is an electronic signature pad on the desk. For me, the Toyota brand name really took a hit from this experience.

When we purchased out van from them, it started out very well. It started going south when they gave us the actual offer. Went from $22k to over $30k as they kept pushing for us to purchase a lot of nu-needed extras. If you calculate the cost to risk these extras are a complete rip off. When we settled on a the actual cost they took the new floor mats out during the "detail" process and claimed they were never there. Instead of arguing I just spent $150 for new ones from a different vendor. I will never purchase from them again. Seem really shady and I feel that they take advantage of people selling the extras to those who do not understand. My wife really wanted the van and we settled on an ok price, but we kept having to tell them that we do not want any extras as they kept trying to push them on us.

Went for an oil change today got there at 7:35 they finished at 9:30 ridiculous. My passenger seat was laid down I wonder if they decided to enjoy the comfort. I had enough with this place.
