Always great service - Woodpecker22
Gerald LaClaire is an excellent service representative. He really knows car mechanics and is able to explain very specifically what's going on with your car. I have always found the service department at Lia to be very good, and Gerry is an excellent link to that service.
Best experience buying a vehicle ever!! - Garygee
Bought my 2011 Tacoma from Jose in March and Jamal was my financial wizard!! These two guys made the whole thing painless! They are both two of the nicest genuine people I’ve met in a long time! 1st time I ever enjoyed buying a vehicle! Had a frame question & Mike set up the inspection instantly! Can’t say a bad thing about Hoffman Toyota! Seriously I wasn’t paid to say it!! Ha!! Sincerely Gary McGee Plainville Ct.
Mike West was a pleasure to work with. - Lilasdad
Mike West and the Lia Toyota business office were a pleasure to work with. No hard sell, factual and low key. I checked multiple local dealers and on line and list prices were competitive and final price was fair. The business office (Aaron) was very helpful pulling all paperwork together and with my credit union.
GREAT TEAM!! - njh
WOW what service! Very smooth transaction from start to finish. Tina contacted me to start and got the ball rolling! Alek Goodlew was awesome!! He took the time to gather the info I requested and show me the details of the new vehicle upon arrival. John Kupec was terrific, Brian C. streamlined the paper process and a delightful man Paul brought my car right to my front door step!! GREAT service and a GREAT crew!!
Typical shady sales tactics that we all hear about.... - justalocal
So I test dove two vehicle's here on a Saturday and made a decision on one of the vehicle's. I left and returned back to the dealership within the hour and requested to put a deposit down on the vehicle that I wanted to purchase. The sales person stated that it was not fair to the other "salesman" as it could block a potential sale and stated that they don't take deposits. Not the norm but went with it, and an appointment was set for Monday afternoon, which was confirmed via the sale person calling to confirm Monday mid morning. Well I leave work early have all my affairs in order in regards to go forward with the sale and I receive a call from the sales person "I have some bad news...the vehicle just sold". Now I'm only 8 minutes away from the dealer after driving approximately 50 miles to get there on time sharp. So now he/she wants to push a lease over the phone...which I respectfully declined. After two messages were left for the manager or dealership owner to contact me, a call back was made by a manager and it turns out the vehicle was "sold" earlier in the week...but it was ok to have other potential buyers test driving a vehicle that someone already bought. If the new "owner" only knew that! After listening to his excuses and trying to get me back for another sale with "discounts" off for the trouble it has caused, again no thank you. So folks when you hear one of their sales person's giving the recited song and dance as to how they are different than all the area dealer's and they take great pride for this award and that award... ya, smile and walk away. If they could give "negative awards" to this dealership...they would have won fair and square.
Medicore experience - Hdaley
Checked out a 2014 Tacoma, beautiful truck, was given a super duper low trade in value of 4,500. It is what it is, Jeffrey was a nice guy but we just were not even close to making a deal. I went to another dealership and leased a brand new Tacoma for 200 less a month than they wanted to sell me the 2014 for
Very hard to buy a car from them - john802
After our family bought 3 cars from them, the salesperson ignored my email inquiring about a fourth car. Went back, wandered around the showroom for about 5 minutes before anyone even asked if I needed any help (no, they weren't with other customers). Spent 5 hours with this salesperson, then I followed up (not him) with an email to which I never received a response. Not a welcoming feeling at the dealership -- there is virtually no customer parking (it's all filled with new/used cars). Went to a competitor where I was greeted in the parking lot. They actually wanted to sell me a car, and I happily obliged. Also, when I bought a car from them, the salesperson told me to give them all 5 stars in the Toyota review I would get.

2016 Highlander becomes very darty when driving in windy con - Highlander
We have a 2016 Toyota Highlander that is very very darty in windy conditions, the steering is very responsive and drives good under normal conditions but when the wind starts blowing you better pay attention the steering is so sensitive and light when the wind pushes and you need to correct I find that you over correct very easily. I think Toyota need to program the electric power steering to become stiffer at highway speed to help prevent over correcting in windy conditions.
