incredible experience working with the Berlin City group! - VTRunner
Traded in my 14 SR5 4Runner for an 18 TRD OR Premium 4Runner. I did everything online working with Matt and he did a great job responding to my questions/concerns and walking me through the process. Lee in finance was also great and answered all my questions. Car was delivered to Vermont on Monday and I love it! Amazing experience overall!!!
A Part of the Family - EdL321
Our salesman, Jaret, was extremely pleasant and very helpful when we needed him. Very knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in and did not try to move us in another direction.
This, alone, made our decision to look no further.
No BS - Dan K
I have been buying new cars since 1985. I have most often had good experiences but not always. My Tacoma purchase last week was the best. No hype; Berto actually listened and got me what I wanted for a fair price. The whole transaction was completed quickly and with no hassles. He is a straight shooter.
Berto actually seems interested in getting a customer what they want versus working towards what he wants.
I highly recommend Berto and this Toyota dealership.
Good up to the point that a lift gate accessory installation - carfellow
Good salesmanship and pleasant experience unless you have an.accessory to be installed. I was given the impression that someone from Toyota would install the lift gate accessory. It turned to be an independent vendor, and the appointment for that person to come to my house was made by the salesperson without informing me. The salesman insists that I confirmed the appointment which is not true. So, I am more than a little annoyed, but the RAV4 is okay.
I had a similar experience after purchasing a Camry a few years earlier. In this case I brought the car back to the dealership for installation of a seat warmer. When I returned the next day, the car was gone. It had been sent to Westbrook for the seat warmer installation. I had to make a second trip to the dealership to get the car, and the gas tank was nearly empty.
So, why does Lee Toyota want try to hide the fact that these jobs are not being done by their own staff?
I have purchased 5 vehicles from Lee Toyota because I have gotten good deals and dealt with many good people, but the accessory thing makes me very unhappy. It might be time for a change!
Bought new Avalon. - Avalony
Dube Toyota worked with me to obtain a new Avalon at an attractive price point after Toyota and dealership discounts. After the purchase, the car had to be fitted with adaptive controls which ended up
taking 2 months to arrange. At each step of the process the salesman, Bill LaGrange went beyond my expectations in terms of understanding and cooperation. AND this was AFTER the sale was consummated. Bill even offered to personally drive the vehicle to the shop that installs the controls.
Pleasant, professional and helpful.....I'll be back.
Kris Nguyen - Linda
Kris Nguyen, is a sales person that I highly recommend! He took a lot of time with me and showed me RAV4’s and Prius’s. I test drove quite a few. Because of his knowledge and his helpfulness I was sold on the Toyota Prius! I did not buy a Prius from Rochester Toyota as I found one from a private party, but it was because of Kris’s help that I was sold on getting myself a Prius. Toyota should be proud of a person who represented Toyota’s so well. Thank you so much Kris for all your help and your time.
I hope to see you again sometime... Linda Hemerick
Crooked Deal Breakers - Ram 3500
I recently tried to purchase a new Tundra for my wife at Emerson Toyota and was treated as poorly as I ever have been at any car dealer.
I stopped in and discussed my needs with my salesperson, Corey. Over the next few days we negotiated by phone. We finally agreed to a number, accessories and financing over the phone. I gave him all my information for financing and my credit card for a deposit. He called back several minutes later and informed me that he was sorry but he could not honor the deal as we discussed. He said he was incorrect in saying I could get the rebate we agreed to with the 0% financing we agreed to. I told him changing the deal at this point was not acceptable. Corey was polite and apologetic but we did not come to a new agreement.
I called back a couple days later but Corey was not available. I was directed to Nick. Nick did not have of the paper work so he was going to talk to Corey first. I explained the situation as best I understood and he assured me if Corey corroborated what I said that he would honor the deal. Corey eventually replied with a deal worse than the original. I declined. This was followed by an offer that was numerically and accessory wise the same as I had agreed to originally but without the 0% financing. I called to talk to Nick to remind him about our discussion about honoring our deal. He said he would not. I asked to speak to the General Manager and he replied that he was essentially the GM. I asked if I could talk to the regional manager. He replied "Go ahead but we are privately owned so there is nothing they can do for you."
I called to talk to the owner, Jim twice. He was not in the dealership either time so I asked for his email address. I emailed him almost exactly what I have said here with my contact info. No response from Jim.
I called the office for the regional manager for Toyota and they put me in touch with Toyota customer Service. This person was polite and told me they would contact George at Emerson's Customer service and he would get in touch with me in no less than 2 days. George must be busy with other customers because that didn't happen.
