I came to Branhaven to get me out of a truck I bought at another dealership, between the payment and the gas bill it was a disaster. Alvar got me out of that and into a Jeep that no other dealership could do. He was honest and friendly and that’s what I appreciated. I will continue to use Alvar and recommend Alvar going forward.

I called on December 22nd with an issue where the car would not shift in to gear. As I had an extended warrantee I purchased through Papa's with the vehicle, I had to call someone else to get the issue taken care of...weird. I called as instructed and had the vehicle towed the same day to them.
After hearing nothing by late the next day I called and they had to go find the car. No one could even verify it had gotten to them. They were to call me back, again nothing so I called back again. I had also asked about a loaner while the car was in, i was told they don't have loaner cars available.
(Without going into how extremely calling the service department is, EVERY CALL GOES TO VOICEMAIL AND NO ONE RETURNS MESSAGES!!!
They let me know parts had to be ordered but they would be in the following Tuesday.
On Wednesday since I had not received an update I called to see if parts had arrived. After calling multiple time and of course no return calls from voicemails, found the parts arrived and the vehicle would be ready late the next day.
SUPRISE, no communication to let me know if the vehicle was finished and no return calls when I called late in the day. I finally reach someone on Friday after leaving pointless voicemails telling me that this is a huge job and it will be ready tomorrow. Again, no answer the next day so I waited until later on Monday to call, leaving more voicemails.
After the lack of follow up and the voicemail drama, I called Jeep and lodged a complaint and I did get a call later in the day telling me the vehicle would be ready the next day and they suddenly want to give me a loaner...apparently they do have loaners.
The next morning I get a call from a new service tech taking over the account wanting to know what needs to be done!!!!
The car was ready later that day and I did get a call from the Dealership Manager and Service Manager after I emailed in apologizing.
95% of calls roll over to voicemails which no one returns is extremely frustrating to a client and entirely unacceptable.
I also have an issue that the service techs would not answer questions about what was being done, if the work was started etc....
In researching the Service Department, my experience was not an isolated one. It seems they have a track record of poor service on the Service end of the business.
I will not be returning to purchase or for service.

From service to sales and parts they are unbeatable - truckerbill63
I have been dealing with Bradshaw's for many years. Over these years, I have dealt with every department. The parts department has always had the right parts for my vehicles and I have never felt overcharged. Dave, Rick and Steve in service have done everything in their power to accommodate my needs within a reasonable time frame. My cars have always been repaired to my expectations and never has there been any grease or dirt left inside or outside the cars by the mechanics. Maryann in the warranty department is very knowledgeable and has handled everything without a single problem. Joe in sales is on top of his game. He inquired as to what I wanted in a vehicle and found the perfect one for me in my price range. Since the sale he has followed up with me to make sure I was happy and there weren't any problems with the car. Jack went over all the paperwork with me explaining every detail so I knew what and why I was signing. And if all that wasn't enough, Sue Atkins, the owner, and her husband, took the time to talk to me about my experience. You will never find a more courteous. customer friendly, and knowledgeable staff than the one at Bradshaw's !!!!

They never should have changed the staff in the service... - Disgusted
They never should have changed the staff in the service department. Complained that there is something wrong with exhaust/emissions last 3 or 4 times I was there. Engine light comes on for the second time in as many months. An emission problem they said. I also needed my emissions test done at the same time. They did the test BEFORE checking why the engine light was on and my car failed the test. There were other problems that I'm sure were there on my previous visits that all of a sudden they found. I took my car to another mechanic and he found more issues than Robert's had told me. This mechanic told me also that I yes indeed do have an exhaust issue even though Robert's service manager told me he checked himself and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Evidently unless your check engine light comes on and a code comes up on the diagnostic to tell them what to do they can't do a thorough inspection on their own. Take it to a self owned mechanic and he thoroughly checks the car and finds the issues by actually looking for them. The price of fixing all of the actual issues is so high that I will be looking for a new vehicle when I least need to be. I have been a faithful customer for over 12 years but with such disrespect for me and my vehicle I will be looking elsewhere for my new vehicle. Loyalty obviously means nothing here.
I spoke with Allie Fritz in regards to a 2019 Jeep... - Breyanna
I spoke with Allie Fritz in regards to a 2019 Jeep Compass Altitude she was very helpful and I was looking forward to having a great experience as a first time car shopper at this dealership. I drove from NY to CT due to advertising online for my car of interest. I printed out pictures of the car I had an interest in which was advertised for $29,666 however, while sitting with Finance Manager: Charlie he was telling me that the car is $32,000. This to me was odd as I’d been eying this car for the month of November with the $29,666 price. It appears that the dealership upped the price after the inquiry I made in hopes that I would pay an arm and leg for 2019 due to my commute.
To make matters worse, the salesman I worked with “Bob” was not helpful in answering my questions and gave very poor customer service. Every question I had, he directed me to speak to Charlie. When I asked to speak with Charlie, directly, he informed me that he was not available. Bob asked me things such as my sales tax in NY, how much money I wanted to put down and credit score, before even taking me on a test drive for the car I was interested in. Furthermore, he was very condescending in referring to me as young lady and my farther as young man. I explained to both representatives that I was interested in leasing, however, despite this was being convinced to finance. Charlie agreed, to “reach out to the banks to see if a lease was possible, however after reviewing my credit report no call was even made”.
After not seeing eye to on the car I wanted, Charlie and Bob convinced me to take a look at a used 2019 Jeep Limited which I explained to them I was not interested in purchasing a used vehicle. Despite this, I took a test drive...to which Bob would not allow me to drive off the lot stating it’s a very dangerous road....to only drive a less than a mile down on the same road to switch off”. I explained to Bob the car presented was not the color I was looking for nor did it have the feature I wanted( a sun roof). He said don’t worry about it this is better car, the seats are “more cushioned...look at the rims on this one”, things that I explained to him were not my wants for a car. I said to Bob these seats are the same as the Altitude and he said no these are better...as if I did not do my research on the different models for the Compass.
After entertaining this idea of a used car, we talked numbers and the quote was outrageous something that would be more suitable for a Grand Cherokee. I thanked Bob for his time, and he said speak to Charlie before you leave. At this point I felt like Bob and Charlie were trying to take advantage of the fact that I was young and new to purchasing a car. Charlie walked out to me while in my car and I informed that the cars presented were not suitable for my needs and thanked him for his time.
I winded up driving down the street to Nissan of Norwich where I had the COMPLETE opposite experience from this experience. I was able to walk out with a 2020 vehicle for less than the quotes I was presented with at this dealership. I would definitely recommend any buyer staying clear of the two staff members in this review.
Lastly, after driving home in my new car, I reviewed Falveys used car inventory. The sad part about this experience is that they had a car that was in my budget with the color I wanted and could’ve had my business if the two staff members listened to my needs and wants instead of trying to sell me what they felt was good for me.

Excellent personal dealership....salesmen are way more personal than others...I dealt with Jeff as I was shopping at all local dealership I bought from them over an hour away because there is no pressure and salesmen have been there a while so they know what they are doing....also I ordered an accessory and when I dropped off vehicle it was wrong fir, they reordered it, came and got my vehicle did the install and dropped off at home....that’s rare right there

Bought a certified Grand Cherokee end of August beginning... - KimMags5&
Bought a certified Grand Cherokee end of August beginning of September from Ellington. Today 11/4 I picked my car up from service for the 3rd time. One issue is intermittent but my new car will not start and I’m afraid of getting stranded somewhere. Today I was asked if I am pressing the button properly and then told “well maybe you have a Wonky buttton” So now that I have been treated like a dumb female my question is, if this is an ongoing issue I am having and your telling me it’s a wonky button, why would you not change said button. I have had 5 push button start cars and even a dumb female such as myself knows how to press a button and start a vehicle. I am quite upset with this service Dept and would never buy another car from them
I wish I could give zero stars based on my latest... - Ed L.
I wish I could give zero stars based on my latest experience at Brown's. I've leased 2 other Jeeps from this dealership and thought I was treated fairly both times. This last experience though was by far the WORST in any car I EVER leased (and I have leased over 10 cars over the past 15 years). For those that are wary of 'used car salesman', if they send you to the dealership location up the road(I think they call it 1900 Medford) to lease a new car DO NOT GO. It's a total scam. They say customer first, but it's sales first, customer last. My advice is customer be aware.
My biggest complaint is that as part of the deal they were buying my 2019 Jeep and I was told they would make the last 2 payments and I would not have to worry about any other bill. They reneged on this without even mentioning to me. They made good on the last 2 payments after I called and complained but stuck me with the wear and tear cost of over $700.
I had three instances where my instincts told me to go elsewhere and I should have listened to them. I'm limited in characters so this is a quick summary.
First I made an appointment at the dealership and when I arrived the salesman was confused and told me I didn't have an appt (which I did). After some time he then told me there was a mix up and I had to go up the road to the other location. That location not only looked like a used car dealership but the sales associates acted like it was one. When I pulled up I said to my wife 'Let's go someplace else'. It was like a frat house with everyone hanging out at the front desk and music blasting. The place just looked 'messy'. Not to mention the chair I sat in the salesman office was on a weather tech cargo liner for some odd reason. I felt if I moved too quickly I would tilt over.
Second was when negotiating the deal. Scott the salesman initially told me he can get me into a new Jeep Grand Cherokee for the same payment as my old one AND buy my old Jeep from me so I wouldn't need to make any further lease payments and no hassle with wear and tear. With the first lease offer he didn't even come close to the old payment. I honestly didn't think a more expensive truck WOULD be the same but was surprised he did not as someone who should know. Then he tried to pull a fast one by showing me all these different deals which made no sense. I'm really good with numbers and called him out on it. It was like he was trying to confuse us which I wanted no part of. At this point we told Scott we were going to leave and come back another time. He said hold on and came back with a clean set of numbers and the deal I was looking for. In between all of this he was more interested in his car getting a part put on it from the service shop rather than the customer sitting across his desk. Unprofessional is too light a term for this salesman.
Last one was the one I REALLY should have listened to my instinct. I made an appointment to pick up my truck at 12:00 and made it clear I had a 1:00 meeting that I needed to call into for my job. Scott told me I would be out of there in 30 minutes. Well Scott showed up over 40 minutes late and blamed my insurance company. I know this to be not true since we both solidified the insurance at 10:45 AM. He then blamed the girl who does the paperwork at the other office. Again just unprofessional. I was now steaming mad and told him to forget the deal.
I then spoke to Rich in the finance department and he assured me they can get me complete quickly. I had to rush through the whole process of signing the paper work. This is where they took advantage and why I got stuck with the excess wear bill of over $700. In the rush to finalize and get me out they failed to mention they were not buying my truck. If they would have told me that I would NOT have signed the deal. I would have walked away.
To add insult to injury I was not told one thing about the truck before driving off the lot. I had to figure it out myself. PLUS I had to explain to my boss why I was late which did not go over well.

I bought a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee, first time I drove on highway the side window panels flew off the car and scratched the side. They glued side panels back on but did not fix scratches and tried to say the car had been hit even though there was not a mark on the car. It was a brand new car and bits flew off it the first time it was driven on highway!!!!! Not right and the dealership did virtually nothing to fix this problem!!! Never buy a car from here!
Take the reviews seriously. Rude salesmen DO NOT deserve... - Elizabeth
Take the reviews seriously. Rude salesmen DO NOT deserve business. Nor does the companies that think it’s okay to scream at customers over the phone and hang up on them. “Maybe he’s having a bad day” does not justify or make it okay. I was polite to the salesman. Dealt with him in person and he was super polite and helpful clearly only because he wanted the sale. After following up and asking questions in regards to what appeared to be an undocumented accident with rust and damage noticed, he lied, talked over me, got really nasty over the phone, literally screaming and hung up on me. If 0 to 100 was a person i would say this was him. This just clarifies that all these bad reviews on how rude these salesmen can be couldnt be more true. I spoke to the manager, he was polite and said he would speak to him but he was probably just having a bad day. I am sorry, but i work with people for many years, a company can only be as bad as the bosses allow it to be. One strike , okay warning, second time dont let it happen again, third strike you’re out. From many bad reviews i have read about this business, this behavior is repetitive and will never be stopped if not handled. I probably would have purchased the car still or another from them if i didnt have such a horrible experience but after that, never again. Nor do i reccomend it to anyone else. Deceitful, fake, rude and unprofessional.
