This was our experience at Garden State Honda. We had to return our Honda Pilot and had to decide not to lease a new car. However, we were not 100 % sure about what to do. I went to return my vehicle to a Honda dealer close home. I was received with angry looks and just a denial because "they didn't have space to receive my car." I asked for help in finding a place, and none was offered even upon request. Then I was sent to the FInancial manager, who only yelled at me (he said it was his regular tone of voice )and didn't even have a business card, didn't have space, and was the " no man" of the day. He only knows the word "no." I went to look for another Honda dealer and went to the one at 225 Riverside Dr.in Passaic, Nj. I was received with open arms to return my Honda. Everything was different. The lady from the service gladly showed us the way, and then we met Julio and Earl, who started helping us with everything.Julio treated us so well and tried to help us put the bad experience behind us and to trust Honda again. We ended up getting a new 2021 Pilot. We really recommend this specific Honda dealer on Passaic(dont go to the other one in 584 NJ-3, Clifton, NJ 07012( unless you want to feel ignored and yelled at, especially if English is not your first language). You will get a reasonable price, will receive customer service, and get a smooth transition to a new car). Kudos to Julio for excellent customer service. Kudos to Earl Brown who is a great and patient salesman who will help you a patient-supporting supporting you until all is done.Gracias Totales Julio and Earl!!!!

Lenny was FABULOUS! He was extremely thorough and patient with us. He took the time to answer all our questions without rushing us. He (and the rest of the staff) stayed 2 1/2 hours later than closing time, and never made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. He was very pleasant to deal with. I will recommend him to friends and family who are looking to buy a new car.
Dealing with Kay Honda as a dealership was overall a positive experience. I wasn't happy about having to pay for Nitrofill, a $300 sanitized prep fee (I was the last one in the car. Why are they sanitizing it?), and a $500 theft protection charge. These items were definitely not worth $1000 to me. I could not care less about my tires going a little low in November. I've dealt with it for decades. If someone said, "Hey, I'll give you $200 to go put air in your tires", I'd do it.
We were told these items were not optional, but they are listed under the Optional Accessories & Products section of my sales receipt.
Also, I've dealt with their service department with previous Hondas. I hope they've improved since the last time I was there. I'll give them another chance with this car. We'll see...

Had a great experience. Ultimately we couldn't find a vehicle to fit our needs and thankfully the staff were very understanding of that and instead of trying to sell us something that would not work, they shook our hands (figuratively) and wished us the best of luck. If a car came in that fit our needs they'd give us a call.
Additionally, the manager we spoke to was very transparent about what we could expect about financing a used vehicle, which is exactly what we wanted to learn about and greatly appreciate it. Planet Honda will be one of the first places we look to for a new/used car in the future.

After purchase of 2019 Honda Accord Sport 2.0t, new October 2019. I brought the car for service because the 19inch tires were slowly leaking air. The remedy they did at no charge was to fill the tires with 36 pounds of air pressure. Soon after I complained about unusual tire wear after a long discussion, the service remedy was to perform a wheel alignment, at the return after wheel alignment the powder coat was scratched on the wheel. There was a recall for B.C.M., and after the service was performed a gouge was taken out of the wheel due to negligence. So after 1year, 4 months my car has damaged caused by the service department. Their interest in the damage they caused is benign, and although they are aware of the damage they did they refuse to fix it. Beware and assert yourself when it comes to this dealers' service department! The only interest they have in your ownership is how much money you spend there.
