I leased a car at a nearby dealership under pressure. I had the same model car before and knew of no changes. When I got into it after all papers were signed, I found it was too uncomfortable to drive. I would never have leased the car had I test driven it. Enter Sincere, sales manager of Teddy VW. I contacted a sales consultant at Teddy VW who told me he wants to help me so I went there with this brand new car that another would have no problem with. Rather than want to help me, he wanted to buy my 2021 Tiguan with 50 miles on it which was discounted by 2K and lease me a higher trim of the same model or a more expensive model AND charge me more than if I walked in off the street. I pay now $269/month. He was talking over $500/month!!! He's pretending to be in my court!!! He sought to exploit the situation. For the price he wanted I could lease a luxury car. A spacious Volvo leases for less. Then because the car is new and discounted he'd sell for more and make an obscene profit on a lease deal. He'd just have to say that someone tried the car and it didn't work for them but it wouldn't reduce the price. Maybe he'd offer a couple hundred more for having 50 miles on it. Sincere is anything but sincere. My original sales agent at Teddy VW, who leased me my first Tiguan, and who worked for a different sales manager, left because he didn't want to work for Sincere. He's never been in the customer's court. It's a cold and hard mentality under him. And I'm in trouble financially due to Covid. Sincere has no humanity. This isn't a dealership of value anymore. He also made up that he gave me until a Wed to do another deal when he never mentioned this day and it would have been impossible because I tried by phone and email to reach him and he never responded and I have much correspondence to support that. Again, he's insincere. He could easily help me by buying the lease and selling it with the 50 miles on it even though already titled and make money. He wasn't interested in helping me.

DO NOT SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE! Please do not take your car to the VW in West Islip, it’s a waste of your time and money. I’ve been there four times and each time , sometimes else was wrong. The last time it was wiring issues (which I didn’t know was covered by my extended warranty ) Nick told me that they didn’t have that information in the system. Hey, if you are reading this, any dealership can look up your information and warranty, just have them call the dealership you purchased your guarantee from. Anyways, I took my car because my engine light came on again after taking it there for the same reason 2 months ago, Nick helped me, and I’ve dealt with him twice and although he seems nice and approachable , he didn’t even know what parts my car needed or the information told from the mechanics. In my last visit, I have pictures where my car sat there for three hours before they even looked at it and once looked , it took around 20 mins for them to put a machine and diagnosed my car. Four hours later, of course they needed more time to diagnose my car and they didn’t know what the issues was. Nick never asked to help me in regards to my extended warranty , the manager who was there, never intervine to ask or help me with my issues to with my car. Please, please, please, if you do not know about cars , you will get scammed here! Went to another dealership; and my warranty was able to cover all the work that West Islip said it couldn’t cover. In addition, their diagnosis on my car was way off and irrelevant to what it really had. Again, don’t be fooled or scammed by these employers.

Reading the other reviews, it's clear that experiences may vary, but we have now worked with Dan Watts (& Fred) on a total of five cars. My standards are high when to comes to sales and support and Dan has always been there for us and continuously exceed them. No car process has ever been easier than working with these two and everything is always as it's stated. Additionally, they've always worked to provide us with the right offers and we've been able to score great programs. We love our VWs and we love getting them from Huntington.

This is our second purchase at Open Road VW Manhattan. I would highly recommend the efficacy of their sale staff. Ling was amazing! She was efficient, responsive and truly took care of us. We put down a deposit swiftly on a great gem of a car, and Ling closed the deal for us in the most perfect way. She has great charm, and made it a memorable experience. Our car rocks! It was a 2010 Beetle in pristine condition with only 15K miles, we are loving it! Thanks Ling and Brian for all your help!

I purchased a 2011 VW GTI and along with it a $599 "Vehicle Tire and Wheel Guarantee". The former business manager (now Ryan Agosti) pulled out a photo of a damaged wheel and recommended this covered. He ensured by that any damage to the wheels would be covered under this agreement. A year later I attempted to fix minor scrapes on the wheels at New Country and was told that the stock wheels on my vehicle were not covered based on the way they are manufactured. I contacted Ryan Agosti and explained everything. She claimed to have checked with her boss, Tom Coppinger who said there would be no refund whatsoever. The only reason this was purchased would be to cover the wheels- based on the guidance of the dealership themselves.
