Far away, but... - MyCar
I purchased an XT5 in OCt, 2016. I have a love/hate relationship with the vehicle, but that discussion is out of scope for here. My home is in Buffalo, NY around the corner from a Cadillac only dealer with whom I first went to shop at. In short, I did not not have best experience with a given salesman who is no longer there. He was professional in many ways, but that's another story. I needed to buy an in stock vehicle and on a late Friday afternoon visited Basil Cadillac in Orchard Park, NY. They had a well orgainized display of many XT5s, but I cannot recall if it was the color or given options I wanted that wasn't available. Later that night I went online and found the vehicle I wanted at Basil, Fredonia.
Next AM i contacted a sales person and received an excellent trade-in (subject to inspection) and a very competitive price. By 6:00 that night I drove home in my new car.
It is not convenient for me to travel 60 miles just to get my car serviced under warranty, and the owners have not honored my request to relocate their business. However, while I have gone to the local dealer for service (always excellent), I usually make the trip to Fredonia because of the personal service and attention I have received, and walk away 99% satisfied. Why not 100%? I am a tough one.
It's life. Look up reviews for any hi-end product, restaurant, etc., and there will always be someone who has had a bad experience to counter the many good ones. Stuff happens. I am very appreciative of the attention and service I have received from Busti the service manager, as well as from Jason in sales and Marge, an owner.
I selected "Buick" because Cadillac was not an option. Nor were the employees I worked with.
Poor service at service dept - Jay
My wife and I took our Chevy Tahoe in for an inspection, new tires, new shock and new parking sensor. While the tires were being replaced they broke a pressure sensor. When we called and complained the service manager was very rude to my wife. The Shock and sensor we were told would be available in 2 to 3 days. After 4 days I called and was told by the manager that they were still on order. After 11 days my wife called and found out the parking sensor was in but the shock had not even been ordered yet.
This department seems to be run very loosely and unprofessionally.
They did give us a 10% discount on our bill because of the trouble which might excuse the tire and ordering issues, it certainly doesn't excuse the rudeness.
sales fine / service the worse ever - karch
Bought a used for pick up truck FEB 2015, March 2015 truck wouldn't start. They towed truck to their shop. They said high pressure fuel pump. They said it did not work. They had it towed to For dealer in olean, they changed the low pressure fuel pump on the frame rail and the problem was solved. They towed the truck back to chevy. This all took up the month of march I didn't have the truck.
This year my truck stalled out on the road. Had no idea what the problem was. Had it towed to ss diesel in Chaffee , NY. they went though pressure testing on fuel system. I told them all the work that was done to it in the past. Well they told me who ever did the job did not know what they was doing... Because the system had metal fillings in it. Only cause is from high pressure fuel pump failure. the system was not properly flushed. The valve covers where never pulled needed to in order to get to the fuel rail. it cost me $4,295.44 plus towing. They told me problem 100% caused by not flushing th fuel system properly.
I went to dealer to see what they could do for me and gave me a total run around and told me their guys did the job properly, also told me i should have taken the truck back to them. well one thing i didn't know what the problem was plus last time they worked on the truck they had it for a month and now I know they didn't do the job correct .
I called them several times to try to get help and no help. I stopped it to talk to them one last time and same response. I also have been trying to get a hold of the chevy zone manager and got no returned calls. I am going to go talk to BBB and news power when I get this finished.
Don't do what they say they did. - Razor
Had brand new truck in for 1st oil change. First they said the greased , checked fluids. Never done. Second truck smelled like grease. Had to scrub the seat. Then I contacted the service manager. He told me that there are no grease fittings. Very educated service dept. Never do business with a company that hires uneducated employees.
