The place to take your car to. - Herman
The personnel is very friendly and helpful. Prices are very reasonable. They communicate better than I do. Took my car in for some repairs, all done quickly and professionally. Feel sorry for not taking my Buick there earlier.
Bottom line I couldn’t be happier about Win Kelly’s service.

Unfortunately I had 2 issues with my vehicle in a week & on both occasions Anna greeted me with kindness. She was able to have both issues diagnosed the same day & get me safely on the road. Anna exemplifies the passion for quality care with the customer & she does it naturally. She truly has the "home town" compassion. Thank you again,

If you're looking to buy a new or used car, or have service performed, make sure you come to Whitmoyer. I mad a mistake of going to another dealer in the area due to being closer to my work for easy of service, but what a mistake that was. I'll never do that again and will be back to Whitmoyer for all my needs where I'm treated with respect, dignity, honesty, and professionalism!!!

Volt dead battery - CCRC
It was a nightmare dealing with GM roadside assistance. Very disorganized. Cost me an additional 30 dollars to keep my car at the long term lot because of their delays. However...after my Volt was towed to Sutliff it was smooth saling.
The Service Manager and staff are great. They should be sent across the street and teach ethical customer service classes to the Used Car Sales Manager.
Great Service Staff - Tom's the Best - Mike H
Tom Dawson has been great to work with for our three GM vehicles 2007 and two 2008 models. The usual problems that crop up after a decade of service, these vehicles have basically been tanks, but when a part wears out or a diagnostic light flashes, Tom's always been there to provide trusted service and the quality we've come to expect from the Fitzgerald Group.
Service and its employees are tops - Nana 1
From the time you meet this department you know you are in good hands. Courtney was the first person we met and couldn't have been treated any better. She knows her 'stuff' and is very courteous to everyone even when we knew she was very busy. She took her time in dealing with us which made us feel like we were family. Keep up the good work
DO NOT TAKE your Business for Service to Hoffman Chevrolet - NavyMom out of town.
DO NOT TAKE your Business to Hoffman Chevrolet while I was out of town in Hagerstown visiting my daughter new Base. I started having issues with my 2010 Tahoe 2 days before having to head back home to Ohio. I took my Tahoe in 1st thing Tuesday morning 03/06/2018. To be told the alternator and tensioner pulley was bad and couplings. $1,000.00 repair, I had no choice but to pay the bill hope for the best. My Son and I left town Wednesday Morning 03/07/2018, the Tahoe started making the same noises half way home 7 hour drive. I was forced to pull off highway 2.5 hours from home when the passenger side wheel bearing went out !!! During a snow storm strained had to have the Tahoe Towed 2.5 hours home. That was the scariest experience I've ever had to get through. Broke down so far from home and it's snowing so hard can't see 30 ft in front of you thru the mountains. I had to have both Wheel Hub Bearings replaced the passenger side was by far the worse. The Multi-Point Inspection is practically blank, if they had checked the brakes they would have found the rocking of the wheel because the bearing was going out. I do not believe my Tahoe was driven, they would have found that the bearings where going out.
I called the Dealership about what had happened about the misdiagnosis of my Track and the results of the correct repair NOT being done. I call Mr. Greg King Service Dept Manager 03/08/2018, told him what happened he said he would talk to the Mechanic and call me Monday. He never called me back, I called 03/14/2018 left VM, he still didn't call back. I called again 03/15/2018 Mr. King told me he is not responsible for miss diagnosing my Truck, his mechanic did the repairs for the sounds I told him about. Have a nice day and hung up on me !!!
On 03/16/2018 I receive a call from Hoffman Chevrolet to follow on my service at the dealership and was told my 2010 Tahoe is in HIGH demand wanting to buy the Track from me !!! Are you SERIOUS ??? I explained what had happened and the Rep said that is NOT how they want the Customers treated and she would follow up with the GM.
I'm NOT surprised at all I haven't heard from ANYONE !!
For the SAFETY of your Love Ones DO NOT TAKE your vehicle here they DO NOT CARE. It's ALL about the DOLLAR not your SAFETY . Needless to say I will let as many people I can know about this experience since they do not care to talk to me about what happened. I guess since I'm from out of town Customer Service doesn't apply.
Hoffman if you want to follow up with me now, ask Mr. Greg King for my contact information !!!

UNNECESSARY or REDUNDANT WORK LEADING TO OVER-INFLATED COST - Dana
courteous, professional, and completely dismissive of my initial concern. A detailed synopsis of events are; My 2011 Buick Lacrosse CXS over-heated, I took the car to Pep Boys, who did a diagnostic ($39) and reported to me that an Intake Valve was leaking which they could not repair. Upon learning that, I assumed that since it was an internal engine issue, that I should take the vehicle to the GM experts. I proceeded to take my car to Ourisman Chevrolet Baltimore, 6633 Security Blvd, Woodlawn, MD. I informed them at the time of drop off what Pep Boys diagnostic ($163) had found, and they informed me that they would perform their own diagnostic at which time I asked for a FULL Maryland State Inspection. They called me and informed me that the car had a busted water pump, thermostat valve and that the serpentine belt needed replacing at a cost of 1588.00. I instructed them to proceed. Upon completion of said work, they called to inform me that the repairs had been done BUT that I had an even worse issue, either a blown Head Gasket or Cracked/Warped Cylinder Heads. The cost to repair 6300.00. I was flabbergasted and questioned why they had not checked for that initially. After research and contact with other repair shops, Jerry Chevrolet, Pep Boys, Royal Auto and performing my own research, it became obvious to me that REDUNDANT or UNNECESSARY work was performed. In speaking with Ourisman Chevrolet Service Director, this understanding became even clearer. The Service Director clarified for me the exact nature of the work performed. The water pump, thermostat valve and overflow container were leaking. Which beggars the question, if ALMOST every COOLANT part is leaking, why not double check to ensure the Head Gasket isn’t? The service director, portrayed to me that it is near impossible to know if a head gasket is leaking, but again with diligent research I found this portrayal not be true. Signs of a leaking head gasket are, white sweet smelling smoke from the exhaust which I had, fouled spark plugs, bubbling in the coolant tank, coolant in the oil tank and visual leaking if external and again the fact that all other coolant areas are leaking. What's the big deal you might ask? Here's the BIG DEAL. 1. If a head gasket/cylinder head needs to be replaced, then the cost of replacing the water pump, thermostat, and serpentine/drive belt are greatly reduced in labor as the engine is already out of the car and access to the necessary replacements are easily and readily available cutting drastically the time to replace them. Ourisman service rates 150.00 per hour. EX: Serpentine Belt for my car is approximately 71.00 at Jerry's Chevrolet, if installed with the water pump the installation of the belt at Jerry's Chevrolet is free and you only pay the part price. IF installed by itself, the cost inflates to 400+ dollars. Same goes for the water pump and the thermostat as well. 2. If the cylinder head is warped/cracked/ ruined, then a new engine may be necessary at which point, the water pump, thermostat and belt are COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY. Now back to the original concern, the cost to me was 1588.00. The water pump at Jerry's Chevrolet is 162.00, Thermostat and Gasket 75.00, Serpentine belt 71.00 for a grand total of 308.00. Therefore, I was charged a WHOPPING 1280.00 IN LABOR COST. Now if this work is done with the Cylinder Head, the labor cost is nominal. The solution as suggested to me by the Service Director get a new/used/re-manufactured replacement engine at a wait for it..... 8500.00 cost and if I did that, then he would work with me on the extraordinary labor cost on the back end. Complete DISMISSAL of the REDUNDANT/UNNECESSARY work already performed, no relief, no reduction, just oh well what is done is done. So basically Per Ourisman, my only option is to add 8500.00 worth of work to and already OVERLY INFLATED 1588.00 worth of work to bring my grand total... again, wait for it.... 10,000.00 on a car worth about 7200.00 KBB. Mind you, Jerry Chevrolet another GM Certified Shop would have charged 1330.00 for same work, Pep Boys you ask, 933.00 for same work. Royal Auto 850.00. Ourisman Chevrolet 1588.00. In conclusion, MY ISSUE was the initial cost, The Service Directors SOLUTION was too actively and aggressively ignore that concern and discuss ad infinitum the options between a 6300.00 repair costs for a possible cracked/warped cylinder head or an even more expensive option of total engine replacement at a cost of 8500.00. It felt kind of like someone kicking you in the groin and then when you angrily comment changing the subject to your house being burglarized. I will be posting to youtube, facebook, and other social media platforms my disappointment. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Maryland Automobile Dealers Association of which I had delayed doing in hoping that Ourisman would respond to my initial complaint more pro-actively.
Rip off - Mary 910
I brought my car in for state inspection on 2/24/17 to York Apple Chevrolet. I was told to pass inspection, the turn signal mechanism needed replaced because it does not always turn off after I hit it. When that happens, I manually turn it off and it only occurs occasionally. I said I have had my car inspected for 5 years now and that never came up. I Was told I was just lucky. Too pass it would cist me $209 dollars. Seriously??, I had it done but said I will never bring my car back to you. Nor will I buy a new car from you. You must be desperate for money to charge this amount. I am going to spread the word to my friends to avoid Apple Chevy at all costs.
Mo’ Money, Mo’ Money!!! - Traverse 2013
Purchased my 2013 Traverse in October. The ‘Check Engine ‘ light has come on eight times since I drove it off the lot. First, I had to have the battery replaced. Then, they thought a carbon buildup was causing the issue. So I paid for that. Now, they’ve found something else I’m going to have to pay for. So extremely frustrating!
The one saving grace of this whole ordeal has been the helpful service I’v received from Kevin Rudy.
Very bad service. Inexperienced mechanics. Customer... - johstamos3
Very bad service. Inexperienced mechanics. Customer service counter rude. The online reputation is not accurate, do not go here. Incorrect alignment. Paint overspray from bodyshop covered entire vehicle. Visit ANY other GM dealership and you will see the difference. DO NOT GO TO FOX TIMONIUM CHEVROLET!
Scam artists - AAP2016
When people warn you to never let a dealership work on your car, believe them!
I went with to this location along with my boyfriend. We needed to take a vehicle there to get some recalled parts fixed and also to get a strange knocking noise the car was making checked out. While he was speaking with one of the workers, I heard him ask if they could check out the noise, they said that they could do it, but never told him that there would be a $100 fee to do that. I don't mind that they have to charge a fee for this, but the customer should be made aware of any cost over $50 in my opinion. That's the first issue I have with this place.
My second issue is that we then got about a $700 estimate for car work, which was work that did not need done at the time, and were not proper solutions to the knocking problem. We were told that they would have to change and rotate the tires first to figure out what was causing the noise made by the car. They also told us that the brakes needed changed, a rotor needed changed, and the serpentine belt was in desperate need of repair.
I discussed with my boyfriend about what we should do, and with our better judgment, we agreed that my boyfriend should chance driving the vehicle down to a family friend who is a mechanic. Guess what? None of the things H&H said needed fixed right away were near as bad as they said they were. Wanna know what was causing the knocking noise too? The lug nuts on the front, left tire were loose.
You can't tell me that whoever was working on the car didn't realize that. We didn't need all those parts replaced or a full change and rotation of the tires. The only thing we needed was the lug nuts on the tire tightened.
Only go here if it is absolutely your last option. Heck, tow your car to another town if you have to in order to avoid this place. But if you have literally no other option and have to go here, make it very clear to them that you don't want them fixing things, replacing parts, or ANYTHING to your car without contacting you for approval first.
Someone from the company contacted me through Yelp demanding more information since apparently nobody could figure out which car was ours even though the vehicle presented a very specific set of circumstances that I highly doubt dozens of other customers had as well.
They then pretty much accused me of lying, stating "The vehicle was brought to us without lug nuts." Which, frankly, is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard since the vehicle never would have made it out of the driveway without that tire falling right off. The vehicle was only missing a single lug nut on the right tire (not the left one that had all the loose ones on it), which they never told us about, and we didn't know about it until we took it to that family friend.
