So far, my purchasing and ownership experience has been without par, save for one. They're friendly, they give you your space, and are there when you need them, but never when you don't. They truly give you one of the only "no pressure" shopping experiences in cars I've ever had.
The only rubs I've had so far -- and they're slight -- is the fact that I seem to know more about their cars than their salesmen do, and they're a very stingy dealership when it comes to the pricing. Lehman Volvo of York DOES NOT like to negotiate on the price, and unless you come armed with a Kelley Blue Book price justifying your offer, they don't like to move much.
I bought a 2015 Volvo S60 T5 Premier from them, and while ultimately I was satisfied with what I paid, I had to go three rounds with them to get the price I wanted. Wayne Staib is a very friendly personable guy, and they do an excellent job with making you feel welcome on their lot and that your business is valued. They really do roll out the red carpets for you without being overbearing.
Service is also excellent. Jason is by far the most friendly and competent mechanical staff head I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He and Katie do an excellent job of keeping you informed of your vehicle's issues and reminding you of your appointments. Car washes are free here too (though I've noticed some swirls in my paint that weren't there when I bought the car... hmm.).
Overall, I can't recommend this dealership enough, if for nothing more than the incomparable shopping experience. It's rare to find a dealership that not only sells you a vehicle, but sells you an experience to go along with it. You pay a bit more for it up front, but I think the cost was worth it.

The sales managers yelld at me over the phone on something that was his team fault. I dont think he would treated a man the way he treated me because i know a man would have gone up to him badly. Stay away from this dealership once you sign the contract business ends there.
Sleazy tactics, held up title/tags more $ after sale - DC gal
Paid cash on Dec 13, received email on Dec 28 demanding $895 more for them to process title and tags. They said "computer price" was $895 more than I paid. Turns out they were trying to collect more for a volvo certified vehicle that they advertised and that was clearly in the Carfax report provided. If you research this type of certification you know its built into the sales price. This is a scam. I pointed out that my paperwork was clear on the price. But what if I lost my paperwork? This dealership is sleazy. The GM eventually said he would "give me the benefit of the doubt" and backtracked saying they made a mistake. I leave it to the potential future buyers to decide whether they want to fall into this type of "mistake."
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.... NEVER AGAIN!! - XC90Driver
Upon my first visit to this dealership, there were many employees standing around as I walked their showroom floor and not a single person greeted me after 15-20 minuets. I decided to leave and returned a few days later as I did not want to travel to another dealer to purchase the vehicle I really wanted. This was a tough decision to make but they were conveniently located for me.
Upon my return I requested a test drive for the XC90 I wanted just to not get a knowledgeable salesman who knew about all the SUV has to offer. (luckily I did my own research).
After the test drive I was convinced it was the SUV for me but that exact one was not the one I wanted. They insisted on my purchasing one that was available on their lot that day which I refused after being approached by two sales men and the sales manager who were determined to sell me the car I did not want. Requested another vehicle to be shipped and was promised it would be there the next day but It didn’t arrive for 4 days.
Long story short, I purchased the vehicle “BRAND NEW” and it needed some work done to it as it wasn’t flawless for a Brand New car. This work didn’t get scheduled until 29 days later. Insane right....
Mind you, all of the communication with that had to be initiated by me, Never them reaching out to me.
Here it is my temp tags are about to expire and I’ve asked Koons Volvo numerous times if they were there and they all insisted I would get a call. No one ever called so I paid them a visit and guess what.... The tags were there and had been based on their records for 25 days!!
I do not recommend anyone buying from them. If you are spending $60k+ on a luxury brand vehicle, you deserve the best experience ever and this one was not that for me. If I had the ability to give them the SUV back, I would do just that and take my business else where.
I am going to write to the owners of Koons as well as the manufacture about my experience and hope to have a better experience there.

People are writing reviews for the sales side and this page if for service. The service department has knowledgeable Volvo mechanics and service writers. They get my car fixed fast and on time. They aren’t as bad as people portray.

Service Manager "Dave" quoted a total price of $380 then charged me $584 without explanation. He started out communicating very well, that is until he stole my money. I've called over and over again to no avail. Left voice mails, emails, sent mail by USPS and still have not heard back from "Dave". I'm now having to dispute the extra charges with my credit card company since no one from Bill Kidds has been able to explain them. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of Bill Kidds!

The employees in this dealership are completely unprofessional.. I was about to purchase a car from them but decided to go elsewhere when they began playing haggle games. The salesman would quote me one price- then the manager would qoute me another. I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone. The managers were rude and the obese finance guy (john) was a crook. I ended up buying my s80 from annapolis volvo. What a diference!! A beutiful showroom full of friendly employees who were there to help me-not to scam me. I purchased the same car for much less, and with a much better finance rate. I would recomend anyone interested in a volvo to purchase thiers at annapolis volvo- they appreciated my business. I would have rated Village Volvo all zeros, but 1s where the lowest rating available.
