Prompt, honest and helped me find the best deal. - Jillian (aka 'chicken saver'
Brian Yoder was very helpful and prompt with getting back with me. He looked and found exactly what I was looking for with the best possible deal. I feel like they were honest and sell a good product. I would recommend them to anyone.
I purchased my Jeep here and I am from the Norfolk area - jglover210
I am a lifelong GM driver and my Yukon was on the way out and I had been test driving multiple SUV's in my area knowing that I needed a new car. I was visiting my parents in Front Royal and figured I would give a Grand Cherokee a test drive. It is one smooth riding vehicle being a Mercedes based suspension and extra welds in the unibody. I got this information from Bobby Gruver as he was very knowledgeable about the construction of the Grand Cherokee and other Jeeps (especially the Wrangler). He was patient with us as we also drove a Durango and Acadia, not to mention debating about the Jeep for 2 days. We were going to another dealership to drive a Cadillac SRX and he encouraged us to do so as he stood by the Jeep. We decided on the Grand Cherokee, which in my area would have cost a full $5k more than what we paid at Marlow. There was a small hiccup with financing as Mr. Talley was out that day, but was promptly fixed. Mr. Talley realized there were some mistakes and made sure we were financed at our lowest possible interest rate. (Small mention, another staff member took my 5 year old daughter to pick a candy cane off their tree while we were doing paperwork, very cool.) My father had reccomended me to Marlow when he had service work done on his Wrangler and was impressed. So, both service and sales are outstanding as far as I'm concerned. I would drive 3+ hours to work with them again.
Selling you parts you don't want - cmoore
When my truck broke down on the side of the road and had to be towed there I was originally told by two mechanics who helps me that it needed a starter. Yes originally I did tell them to put a starter on but then they called me and said that the problem was not the starter and that they need a diagnostic I was under the impression that I was going to be charged for a starter and a diagnostic I told them no do not put the starter on through the diagnostic then when I go to pay for it they went ahead and put the starter on and charged me over $400. Now they don't want to take the starter back because they're lying and swearing that did the end of the conversation that that's what I wanted when it is. I will never go there again and I would never recommend this to anyone else. Very disappointed in the service
What Customer Service? - DaGrinch
Bought a used Jeep Liberty from an individual and it came with only one key. I bought a blank key from an outside source and had my son go to Bender's to have the key cut and programmed. They wouldn't touch it because it wasn't a MOPAR key. I knew I was risking the blank to be bad - what difference does it make to them? They were going to be paid for their time and effort. Nope, wouldn't touch it.
This would have been the perfect opportunity for this dealership to establish a good rapport - never know, I might need parts for the used Liberty and with a good experience, there's always the possibility I'd be back. They don't have to worry about it now.
My car (2010 challenger) broke down outside of Accident... - Clevertitan
My car (2010 challenger) broke down outside of Accident MD 7 weeks ago. Needless to say it is still not fixed. The first week they had other work and could not look at my car to the end of the week (totally understand) The second week they informed me that it was the timing belt that broke, later that week they informed me that some of the valves were not holding pressure, resulting in them having to take the engine apart for repair. Weeks 3-5 they were ripping the motor apart and waiting for back ordered parts. On saturday at the end of week 6 after calling they informed me that it was all good it just needed to be timed. I called back tuesday where they again informed me its all good just needs timed.. so i called today (2-20-2014) to confirm the time i can pick up my car friday, only to be informed that there is still a cyclinder issues and it may be ready next week. As of right now Dodge corprate has "launched" a service review/investigation. After having Dodge HQ call them the service manager said he would provide me a rental car. If the service department is a example of this dealership i would stay very far away. Just a finishing note- They have never called me to update me on the repair work, i have had to call them everytime. Please beware.

I just bought a new 2015 Dodge Journey from Elkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. I called them about a particular Journey I saw on their website. After emphasizing that I was very interested in that specific Journey and was ready to buy that weekend, my salesman Gary talked with his sales manager and called me back about 15 minutes later with an excellent price. We went over the terms and then Gary sent me an e-mail breaking down the price to make sure we were on the same page.
I live about 90 minutes away from the dealership. When I got there, I was greeted warmly and they had the car I was interested in ready with a new wash and a full tank of gas. They let me take it on a test drive by myself, no staff. We got back, finished reviewing incentives to see if there were any additional ones I qualified for (there weren't) and shook hands on the price we had discussed earlier. They were able to get me a competitive interest rate through PNC Bank.
We went over to the co-owned Ford dealership's building so they could detail the car and do the paperwork. The financing guy explained all of the warranty options but was not pushy. I explained my driving habits (I drive 25k+ miles a year) and after reviewing the available options, said he couldn't find any appropriate for me.
The only (minor) negative with the transaction was that I had asked them to not put their decal on the car, but as I realized after I had already pulled away, they had anyway. I'm in the process of removing it.
