Horrible service experience with this dealership. Very disappointed. I was having some engine issues I am by no means a mechanic but I've worked on some of my older trucks and I know how an engine works. I was able to narrow my issue down to a couple of possibilities. I went to Roger Dean Chevy expressed my concerns and had them run the diagnostic on this particular component. The next day they called the said they ran some test, made some adjustments, checked the fluid and everything checked out and was looking good. My vehicle is still under warranty but the warranty does not cover the diagnostic. That is perfectly understandable, I bit the bullet and I paid the 120$ for the service. I picked up my truck drove it home and it was like nothing changed.
Fast forward 2 weeks my vehicle is still acting funny so I took it to another Chevy dealership down south and they told me the condition of this component was absolutely horrible. They checked my fluid and told me the same thing, it was the worst they had ever seen on a vehicle still running. Finally an HONEST service department.
It sucks to know that Roger Dean Chevy let me drive off knowing that they just lied to me. I work in public safety if I lie to a patient they can possibly die. It may seem a little exaggerated my example but if I'm going some where and spending 30k on a vehicle the least they can do is be straight forward with me. The shop workers get paid the same whether they fix the problem or lie about it.
I'm glad I found a dealership that puts their customers first. I can't thank this gentleman enough that was completely honest with me. I will be following up with the corporate office or the owners of Roger Dean Chevy what they did was not right. As for the gentleman at the other dealership I have nothing but love and respect for him. He saved me a lot of money and headache, and he is going to make the same salary he did whether he helped me or not.

After our Corolla was recalled and told not to drive the vehicle, the Ft Myers Auto Nation offered us a loaner car until our's was repaired but would have to leave our car parked on the roof in the open. Our Corolla had always been garaged. The Ft Myers dealer refused the National Toyota offer that the customer would park their vehicle in their garage and agree not to drive it and receive the loaner with a signer release. The Punta Gorda dealer had absolutely no problem with the National Toyota plan, we signed a release, parked our car in our garage with no problem. Drove a loaner for 4 months. The Ft Myers Toyota dealership was very unsympathetic with our concerns. The Punta Gorda dealership was extremely nice and accommodating. My next Toyota will come from Punta Gorda dealer even though I live in Cape Coral

I have been buying Chevy!s there since 1994 and using the service department as needed also since then but this place has really gone down hill under new management. I brought my 2014 camero in for its first service and had informed them that the springs that pop the trunk lid open had gone up into the trunk lid... They never fixed it... Now I take it in for my 2nd oil change, and trunk lid springs and 1 tire low on air... They have my car 3 days, they say they didn't find anything wrong with the tire , I get in and check the pressure and its low again... They bring it back in and .... Find a nail! imagine that! . I have to wait another hour to get it fixed and missed my appointment that I had to be at because they would not give me a car to drive.. It took the service manager 40 minutes to come talk to me... The car should have been washed also... Toyota always washes the cars that come in for service.... Not acceptable!!
