To say my expectations were high is an understatement. Admittedly I was unsure of which car I was looking buy. I was also unsure if I wanted to go back to leasing, buy new or buy used. My lease through another company was due to expire and my anxiety ridden search for a new lease with other dealerships was met with nothing but disappointment and poor customer service. That being said, I made a last minute decision to explore my options with Ford. At this point, I had less than 4 days before my lease expired, so it was a race against the clock. After inquiring online, Frank Grisa at Pat Milliken Ford contacted me immediately, and within a few hours I had a quote. The next day I’m test driving, and a couple days after that I was leaving with my new vehicle. Finding exactly what I wanted, however, was no easy feat. Frank worked tirelessly to find my dream vehicle, with my exact specifications, mere hours before my previous lease expired. Just when I thought I may have to settle for my less desired vehicle option, he found it- a few hundred miles away in another state! He had it delivered overnight, and ready and waiting for me that day. The financial aspect was surprisingly a breeze. Signing paperwork is never fun, but Frank knows how to make a generally “boring” experience more enjoyable. In addition, the perks and incentives I received- there’s no comparison. My only regret is not switching to Ford sooner! On a whole, my experience at Pat Milliken Ford far exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t have asked for anything better.

I had an awesome experience leasing my F150 Platinum at Skalnek, started with a call for a used F150 based on price, but Rick Brewer, Sales manager was able to craft the monthly payment within my budget. The sales team of Jessica Carels and Brandon Harty provided a best-in-class delivery experience. I had forgotten to remove a couple items from my lease turn-in vehicle and they removed them and shipped them tO me at no cost. I started shopping for a new truck 60 days before lease termination, RAM, Denali and Tundra, and at all three dealerships I had to go though the back and forth, let me talk to my manager and would you do it for this payment even when I had told them my payment requirements. Not at Skalnek, Rick Brewer was direct and made the process seamless. Also, they were able to locate and trade with another dealer for the exact color and equipment I wanted. If you are looking for a Ford, this is a down to earth dealership, with a no BS, customer focused style. Gold Standard!

I took our car in for a new battery and the service was great all the way around from the sales person I contacted to the shuttle driver. People called when they said they would and they got me in and out on a Monday in the middle of a snow storm! Darlene Paul our sales person whom we've purchased several cars from even called me the day after yo make sure the problem was resolved. While I was waiting for the courier to bring my car around I was approached by 3 people asking if I needed help! What a great team!

She came in with her engine light on and asked for help and all they did was try to make a sale and sell her something that wasnt broke
The engine light was fixed with just a turn of the gas cap

I'm not much on giving reviews but when I get frustrated enough, then I will. First call I made, talked to Delilah, I told her we wanted a flex and told her exactly what we wanted, how many miles, and what trip, and how much we wanted to put down, SUPER EASY!!! She then takes hours before calling me with a quote, finally I get some numbers and I ask, what is the $1,000 down for? She then goes on to speak to me like I'm an idiot and goes around my questions, 3 times. I asked for a window sticker and some photos, NONE! I call back the next day to speak to someone else, I get Todd, I told Todd my situation and he laughed because the first rep didn't deliver. He says "I'll have prices within the next half hour" guess what? NONE, I call back again to talk to Todd and the receptionist says "We don't have a Todd who works in new car sales" xxx!!!! So, I say, can I speak to anyone who can help me GIVE YOU MONEY??? Kyle picks up, so I give him the rundown of what we want and he says, give me a half hour and I'll get you prices, window sticker, and photos, well guess what??? NONE. I finally called a different dealership and I was able to get quotes within 5 minutes and a link to 12 different cars to choose from, THEY'RE getting my business. Not this place.

Sent the vehicle out unsafe with binding steering - Almost Died
Took my Escape in for repair after an accident. They sent the Escape out the door with a bad steering control module that would cause the steering to bind. ( Google this as it has been linked to deaths ) The mechanic even made notes on the repair sheet. The dealership manager said "sounds like you had a bad experience". I had both headlights replaced and they never adjusted the headlights, had to do myself. They crossed the front and rear washer solvent lines when replacing the washer solvent jug, never tested operation. The steering wheel was clocked at 2 to go straight. The fog lights were left unplugged. Rubbing compound was all over the interior of the car ( window must have been down when rubbing out the fender). There was never any paperwork signed to authorize work to be started. They took the vehicle apart so the adjuster could examine the damage without my permission. The grill was busted during this dismantle. After the Blackwell Ford handed the Escape back after 2 weeks and one day i had to take back to Belle Tire to finish the repairs. The insurance adjuster was horrified that Blackwell Ford sent it out the door. Belle Tire had to replace the AC condenser and a bad steering knuckle as well. Belle Tire was aware that on the FORD ESCAPE that is involved in an accident that damages the steering the module has to be replaced and is standard. The way to tell is when the vehicle is placed onto a hoist and running the wheels go back and forth by default to indicate the damage.
This vehicle was taken to Belle Tire 4 days before the accident for Tie rods, ball joints, Struts, shocks, tires, brakes, alignment, oil change, AC system check, Coolant check, wiper blades replaced, all fluids topped off, and complete inspection since I bought the vehicle 6 days prior to the accident. The accident was a minor impact to the right front tire and fender.
I tried contacting the owners of Blackwell Ford. They could not be reached. So I wrote the review. Included is the time line and contact information for the owners.

7/14/2019 Accident where vehicle was impacted on the front right fender near headlight
Vehicle dropped at service center for estimate of repairs
• No work authorization. Adjuster authorized the vehicle to be taken apart without my permission. Work started on vehicle without my permission. No signatures. Vehicle was in for an estimate for repairs.
• Estimate for rust repair on rear quarter requested and never given cost of repair.
• Lower grill cracked up from bumper cover removal.
• New scratches on the hood.
• Rubbing compound splattered across the interior.
• Weather stripping where fender meets the body at windshield hanging out.
• Both headlights replaced and not adjusted.
• Drivers side fog light left unplugged.
• Passengers side fog light not completely plugged in.
• Steering wheel clocked at 2 to go straight after alignment
• Steering binding and would not return without force.
• Ac system left not working and leaking oil.
• Check engine light on.
• Window solvent lines reversed after replacing washer solvent jug.
• Bumper cover has gap at the replaced fender
• Repairs took 2 weeks and one day
Vehicle returned 7/29/2019
Vehicle taken to Belle Tire 7/30/2019 for adjuster to inspect
• Steering module replaced
• Steering shaft replaced
• AC condenser replaced.

I switched to Ford after hearing Bill Ford talk about Ford’s commitment to the environment. Now they are lining up to roll back fuel standards. What a bait and switch. If I could turn in my car now I would. I like my Escape and Avis but will not re-up if this passes. Automotive companies have a huge impact on our environment. I hope Bill Ford will make the right choice.
