I am extremely particular in the type of car I want, but I am also extremely frugal. These two characteristics generally do not go well together when buying a car. Roger Bacon made it easy and satisfying to get what i want, plus a little extra, and not break the bank. The best part of my entire car dealership relationship with him was the communication. It was always quick and convenient to get in contact with him or receive an answer to one of my questions, whether it was in person, over the phone or texting. I felt so comfortable asking him every and any question I had without the fear of feeling like my questions were irrelevant or silly. He broke the car dealer lingo down so that I understood everything that was going on. This was great because what he promised is what I got, with no hidden surprises or fees, etc.. It was a great feeling to know I wasn’t getting swindled or tricked. Everything was upfront and honest, even if he knew it was something I didn’t want to hear! Buying a car with roger wasn’t a few hours of “get me out of here” but rather a few hours hanging out with a cool, honest, down to earth guy who got me an awesome automobile and a good deal too!

I was in search of a car for my 16 y/o. I’ve been searching high and low from Grand Blancto Detroit. Visited dealership after dealership only to walk out feeling defeated. After passing Huntington Ford many times, I stopped one Sunday to see what they had on the lot. I saw a car that I knew my son would love. It looked nice inside and out. I called on Monday to get more information, and I got Greg. Greg was the best. He did not pressure me to come drive the car or force it down my throat so he could get a sale. He was patient and answered the million questions I had. Needless to say, I bought the car not only because I loved it(I loved the other cars at the other dealerships too), but because I received exceptional service.

Place is a joke. Promised a price through a certain date doesn’t actually mean you’re going to get it. After going through all the troubles of getting the car added to insurance and other things, we went in to sign the papers and the price per month jumped $20/month and apparently there was “nothing they can do” if you want a terrible car buying experience this is the place for you.

We took a vehicle there on the recommendation of our regular mechanic-took it on Monday April 1-by Friday we had not heard any news so I called there-and left a message for Joe the service manager to call back-that took a few hours-the result was that before they could get a clear read on malfunctioning sensors I should replace the exhaust system-took the vehicle home and replaced the exhaust-took it back to the dealer on Monday April 8-again-called Friday April 12 and Joe told me he was waiting for me to bring the vehicle back-when I took it on Monday it was driven right into the service garage and handed the keys off to a technician-so more diagnostics started-and got a call April 22 that the problem couldn't be solved by the mechanics-Joe made some suggestions for solving the issues-and the cost would have been astronomical-I picked up my vehicle-took it to a mechanic we have used in the past and were assured that the problem could be fixed-my BIGGEST issue is the lack of communication-when I picked up my vehicle the keys couldn't be found-we waited about 30 minutes until they were located-LONG STORY LONG-we will NEVER use LaFontaine again!!!!!!

My experience with Parkway is the worse, i have never been treated so insignificant in my life. Made an appointment with one of the sales people, i texted his phone personally and set it up for 1pm. I arrived early as i knew it was a busy dealer ship and i would have to wait anyway. When i arrived he was standing behind the front desk and when they ask who i was there for i said Phil, standing right behind you. (He barley acknowledged me) They woman said "what time is your appointment?", i said "it was for 1pm but i am 30min early". they asked me to wait till he was done and would come get me. I waited till almost 1:30pm Phil walked over to the area i was at, and talked to a couple sitting down and asked to follow him. Did not even acknowledge me, to say ill be right with you or we have to reschedule nothing even ill get another sales person to come talk to you. At that moment i realized what kind of place i was in and walked out and went to sterling Heights dodge and within 30min i was test driving a new Ram 1500 and put a deposit down within an 1hr of arriving. If you want to get treated like crap and get a real crapy deal go to parkway and sit for hours and get the worse deal. Especially with Phil, and Apollo, they could care less about you. They just want your money!

The sales team will go out of their way to find a means to approve bad credit borrowers. They allow non custodial parents to prey on adult children by allowing the adult child to co sign over priced and valued new auto loans. Crysler Capital allows multiple attemps to be made by the dealship using the adult childs credit to obtain financing even when the adult child can not afford the loan. this needs to be stopped.
