Great Experince! - usmcguy
This was the first time I sat down at a dealership that was professional and knowledgeable of the products they are selling. The staff as a whole is very friendly and accommodating. From start to finish the process was done smooth as possible. I was very happy with my purchase and will recommend future customers to visit this location to purchase a Subaru.

Probably my very favorite car buying experience! My salesmen Jason didn’t have exactly what I wanted but within 30 mins they had located and gotten a trade for my dream car! Thank you Jason and Bommarito for helping this girl get her very own Beetle!

Great Sales Department, Terrible Management - JohnDoe
I bought my car from this dealer in 2012, and have had every service, and tire on my Passat bought through this dealer. My parents, sister, and brother in law have done the same. Even my wife's car has been bought from a Bommarito dealership because we've never had bad service there. The service department does great work, but don't' ever ask to talk to a manager about pricing on your service. I thought that my years of loyalty of having work done on my car would have meant something, but apparently not. On my 2012 Passat the door would not close. I had to drive it there holding the door shut with one hand the entire way. Not the smartest decision, but money is tight, and the idea of paying for a tow truck wasn't really an option. I got there, I talked to the guys at the counter who are always nice, and once everything was set I asked to talk to the manager about the cost of parts. I explained to the manager the problem with the car at the moment. I said I would pay for the diagnostic fee and any labor involved in fixing the car. But I don't think a car that is not that old should have this type of failure on the door latching mechanism, warranty or not. I understand this is out of warranty, but this is definitely out of the normal. He tried to say I hadn't had all my services done there, which I was insulted by because I have. Now I understand it wasn't fair for what I said to him, I did say that if they have the work done on my car and I am charged for the parts, I wouldn't be too happy and I'd talk to the BBB. His response was for me to leave. I asked why, not the best move on my part. But I never yelled or was belligerent to the man, but he told me to leave or he'd call the cops. I was amazed that he was reacting so strongly to a simple conversation, not a real people person. What's funny though is that they were also going to replace my airbag. So he sent me off in my car with a door that I had to hold shut with my left arm, and an airbag that has a recall. Every service on that car has been done there, and I have never felt so wronged in my life. Now, he was absolutely right that they are a private business and don't have to service me given what I suggested by saying if I have to pay for the parts I would report that. But my reasoning is that frayed cables (confirmed by coffee automotive) on a car at this point is not normal wear and tear, that sounds like a defect. I've spent thousands of dollars there over the years. The car was paid for in cash, however, if you want to get technical, the only service that wasn't done there was a patch on a tire when my wife and I were on vacation in Michigan and had to find a place to get it repaired. And at the end of the day, they sent a loyal customer away in an unsafe vehicle because a manager decided to get upset over the issue. So I won't be back, and after speaking with my parents, sister, and brother in law, neither will they. So one man ruined not just one relationship with a loyal customer, but multiple. What's funny, is I remember my sister's Honda civic having a problem with a pully that the mechanic said he has never seen fail, and the mechanic fixed it at Bommarito for free. That dealer honored their vehicle because they understood that failure is way outside the norm. That honda civic was out of warranty. I offered to pay for labor and the diagnostic fee just not the parts, which is more than my sister had to ever pay for the issue with her pully. Loyalty seems to mean nothing with this particular dealership, so consider this when buying your vehicle, don't ever expect anything in return for your years of loyalty, because they don't value it.
I have reported this issue with the door to the department of transportation safety on the chance that there is a defect. While I was waiting to get help, the man at the service desk was on the phone with someone for the same issue on the same door.
Wonderful experience! - USMC1882
My family has owned several VWs but this was the first VW purchase for my wife and I. We traded in a Civic Si for a new Tiguan which is a night and day difference. I looked at reviews of Auffenberg online and some people really stated they had a bad experience, I pity them. It took a little bit of time but that was due to financing issue with what we owed on the Civic. Jeremiah was our initial salesman but had to leave due to a family emergency. CJ took over and got us going. We were there past their closing time, but yet they were able to get the VW detailed and paperwork completed before too long thanks to Jim and Brian for that. They could’ve told us to come back the next day, but instead wanted us to ride home in our brand new VW. I tested the waters with Honda, only to be disappointed. VW has definitely gained my respect and appreciation. We’re looking at the further purchase of a Jetta. Thank you to all of your patience and cooperation Auffenberg VW!
