Transmission Trouble in Topeka - Kaykayredd
Our university tennis team was traveling to Topeka to play Washburn University. On the way we started having transmission issues but the van was still drivable. On the way, we contacted Laird service department and they were able to work us into their schedule while our team played. They were able to diagnose the issue, contact the University to confirm what needed to be done and had the van ready by the time we needed to get back on the road. They even sent their courtesy van to pick me up when the van was ready. They service was the best and I would highly recommend them to other Ford owners!

Adam took great care of me and followed through with all of the small details. While I did my paperwork, he switched the license plates, filled it up with a full tank, put floor mats in it, and moved all of my paperwork over to the new truck. We drove from Topeka to Matt Ford in Buckner to look at a used truck they had listed online. The condition in person was even better than the pictures could even show. My wife had talked with Ty on the phone and he guaranteed if we drove from Topeka to see the truck it would still be there we had first shot at it. The truck was in great condition and priced fairly. Our experience with Ty and with Fred was stress free and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the dealership and both of them to anyone.

Trouble with front wheel bearings - Joe Q. Public
Took my Ranger in for complete brake service front and rear. Just took the truck to another mechanic for other work who said the wheel bearings were not properly torqued and are loose. Also the brake fluid is dark brown and should have been flushed, Shawnee Ford never mentioned it.
$570 for new brakes and front wheel bearings repacked. Not done properly.
Will not be back.

I bought our Mustang off Autotrader and had to drive 8 hours to pick it up. Hope at Dave Littleton Ford made it one of the easiest transactions I've ever made. She was upfront about any issues the car had, gave me the entire history of the vehicle and was prepared when I arrived. She was also there to explain how various things worked and help transfer my Sirius Radio contract. When they discovered a minor issue during inspection, she immediately called me, explained what it was, how it was fixed and even told me that if there was any issues in the future they would pay my local Ford dealer to address it. I got the car I wanted and worked with some great folks doing it.

We have bought 3 vehicles from them in the past, and every time, something is messed up. The latest is a used Jeep Laredo. we bought it in January. The salesman (JJ) said there was a 60 day 3000 mile warranty on anything that goes wrong. February, check engine light comes on and eco mode does not work. Took it in to their shop. $115 to look at it, another $267 to fix it. not covered in warranty. I called the salesman (JJ) and he blew smoke up my a$$ while back peddling. He said he would look into it but he never gives warranty on used cars. Of course he never got back to us. Next day, wife is driving home from work and top speed tached out was 35 MPH. She shifted it to neutral and back to drive and it shifted properly.

Our vehicle was there for THREE weeks. We would call to ask about progress and several times we got an answer of 'we don't have any record of your vehicle being here.' Then we would get a call back later in the day to tell us that they were waiting on the mechanic or ordering a part. On Friday, September 29th we called to ask about the status of our vehicle. We again got the response that they had no record of our vehicle being in the shop. We were told Mike would have to call us back. We made plans to get a car dolly and tow our vehicle to another dealer because we had no confidence that our vehicle would ever be fixed. Then about 4:30 that afternoon Mike called back to tell us that our vehicle was fixed and ready to be picked up. We understand that the service department was very busy but there was not an excuse for 'having no record of our vehicle'. We are looking to purchase a new vehicle and we had considered looking at Beckman Motors, but that will no longer be a consideration.
