Treated like a kid - MelloyDonttrustmenobuy
So I decide I want to buy something quick, something that when I press the gas, I get thrown back in my seat and get an adrenaline rush. So first thing that comes to mind is a challenger, not that they aren’t crazy common but they seem a little more enthusiast then a mustang or a camaro. So I think I’ve seen a ton of Melloy Dodge and should start there. So I call set up a test drive for a challenger and arrive, I get greeted pretty early on so they were on that and made sure I was helped. The obnoxious thing is that I started the phone call asking to test drive, I wanted to compare this car to the rest of my experiences with cars. So they take my license and have some guy who is more confident then the salesperson to come talk to me. He says I’m basically to young and dumb to drive one of their cars so unless I have full coverage insurance, than it’s not gonna happen. So I get my insurance company to agree to pay if I crash the car and go on a test drive. They tell me to go easy on a “performance” car, and put it in eco mode so I can’t really feel the car out. Post test drive, car has terrible visibility feels boaty, isn’t the kind of speed I want. I go over to two other dealership, ford and Chevy, with in 5 minutes of being there at both dealerships I am allowed to test drive a mustang 5.0 and a 2ss Camaro. Didn’t even check my license or insurance, which I had, kind of seems to me like challengers are so dangerous they aren’t confident in letting people drive them, I’m going to be going with the Camaro based of the way I was treated. I had the money and the experience, should have had a little trust in me, you lost me and I won’t ever be buying a dodge, trash quality, overweight, overprice, and ugly interior. The mustang I drove had 10x the features and beautiful interior wasn’t recycled from the last year and wasn’t the same as all the other cars of the same brand.
