Jeep Grand Cherokee Safety Recall - David W.
Lili and the staff made the process seamless. She even arranged a complimentary rental car for the day. We had a 7am appointment and were greeted with a fantastic attitude and Lili showed tremendous pride in her work. I would highly recommend them fir any of your service needs.
we've been to many dealers in our time. - garyowen123
You guys are great. No pressure to buy anything but several options to look at. Jason Tate really took care of us and helped answer our questions. We really feel he tried to give us the best deal possible and he patiently dedicated his time to us. Unfortunately, during our last visit, we were unable to get the right price and vehicle. We'd like to continue to work with Jason. The main building is nice. The doughnuts were good and appreciated. The back lot was too crowded to get a good view of the inventory but Jason brought out the vehicles to look at. I would recommend that more phone or on-line communicating when shopping for a vehicle. That way less time would be spend away from home. Kind of narrowing the field. BTW, the follow up text and calls were appreciated as well. Anyway, good job guys!
Had to fight for the price, but they were nice - Chucktesta
Had to go to their own website to show their advertised price for the car i was looking at. Pretty stubborn on the price, but thats how dealerships go. Overall nice people, tried to help make us comfortable with our 1 year old and let us test fit car seat and stroller in car before purchasing.
Friendly Staff - Villian25
Sales staff helped me find the best vehicle for my needs at a great price. I also got a very fair value on my trade in. Overall I had a very positive experience.
3 strikes and your out- - Skipstr
In the past 10 years, I have purchased 25 new FCA Vehicles from 4 dealerships in the San Jose, Vegas, Havasu and Kellogg Idaho area. When my wife and I moved to the Carson area, the only dealership close was Carson Dodge. Since I am a loyal customer of FCA, I received a CDI number (Control Number) from FCA and this dealership refused to except Corporate’s instructions to give this customer a discounted price. The dealership is reimbursed by FCA. The manager then proceeded to call my wife and I a liar with vulgar language. We left and found out the following week that the two sales people that helped us, quit because of this incident. strike 1.
Took my challenger in to this dealership for repairs. Under warrantee, dealership was authorized to repair. Was given estimate and asked to pay for estimate. Paid for estimate and was giving a date to return. Return on repair date, dropped car off and was given a ride home. Was called by dealership service department “Don” and was told to come pick up challenger. Arrived at dealership service department, challenger was not worked on or touched. Don, the service manager, tells me that their dealership service department is not qualified to work on the high end challengers SRT’s. Challenger returned with nothing done and was made to pay for estimate service. Service department refused to charge FCA for service. Customer called FCA and was told to submit bill And was refunded. Strike 2.
Upon the two paragraphs above, this customer decided to write Linkin & other social media groups about their sales and service department.
In the meantime, I purchased a new 2018 crew cab 4 x 4 with an MSRP over $55,000 from another dealership in Idaho. Yes, I drove over 26 hours, round trip to Idaho to buy this truck, since Carson City Dodge is incompetent.
The new 2018 ram had a recall on it and I proceeded to take it to Carson city dodge service. Upon arriving, Don (Service Manager), a 6 foot tall plus man, 250 pounds comes storming out of his office with two little technicians & informs me that the owner, GM and himself do not want me on their property any longer. I informed him that I own 24 FCA vehicles at this time and a brand new ram crew cab with a lifetime warranty that has a safety recall on it, that needed to be repaired. His response was leave before we are forced to make you leave. Strike 3, your out.
I left the dealership without any incident and called FCA and made a report of refusal of fixing a truck that was new and was a Chrysler product.
Do not get me wrong. FCA is state of the art engineering and their products, but Carson City Dodge is a dealership that I would not send my worst enemy too. If you patronize this place, it’s a matter of time before you’re writing a similar report.
Intradepartment communications issues, poor scheduling - JimDodge2010
Customer Service – NOT!
Full disclosure: I am not a regular service customer nor have I purchased a vehicle from AutoNation.
In summary: from my experience twice it appears the Service Department has a significant communications disconnect between customers (at least this one), their service writers, and the mechanics. It is also unknown to me whether or not AutoNation puts its regular customers or those who have purchased vehicles from them ahead of Chrysler Corp customers who need safety recall work done.
On July 5 I had scheduled a 7:30AM appointment to have corrective action taken for a safety recall on my Dodge RAM 1500 fuel tank bracket. Sometime mid afternoon the service writer called me to advise that the work could not be accomplished that day due to work spill-over from the previous work day. I told him that was entirely unacceptable as it interfered with plans made for a trailer trip.
I rescheduled the appointment for 8:00 AM July 18.
Yesterday, the 18th, I had my vehicle in the service queue at the appointed time. Not until late afternoon did the service writer call me to advise that (1) the work had not been started yet and that AutoNation would need to keep the vehicle overnight. (To his credit he comp’ed me a rental at Enterprise for my inconvenience.)
Mid-morning, today, July 19, I called to inquire re the status of the recall repairs and had to leave a message. Hearing nothing an hour later I again called to learn that the service writer was unavailable and I asked to speak with the service manager, who was also unavailable. Leaving a message for him, I still heard nothing by mid afternoon. I called yet again and was advised that the service writer was physically checking the status. He called shortly thereafter to advise that the work order >was still sitting on his desk< and that the work had yet to be started. I advised him to hold any work and that I would be over to retrieve my vehicle.
I have worked in customer service and know what can be done to facilitate that operative word “service.” AutoNation would be well advised to focus on communications with its customers as that would have gone a long way with me.
At this point I don’t think I can trust the AutoNation Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge service department to take care of the safety recall for my vehicle.
Unauthorized Credit Checks! - HNW
I had a hard time giving this Dealership even one star. We initially thought that we would have a good experience here. Our first sales rep was working very hard to get me a vehicle at a monthly payment I could afford and seemed to have it set. Well a week went by, and when we recontacted the Internet Sales Agent Moriah she was willing to help us. We told her no hard pulls on my husbands credit, only a soft pull to see if it would make any difference. But that the vehicle was for me, in my name, same credit. They agreed IN WRITING to only do a soft pull. Well her manager KEVIN decided to run my husbands credit 10x!!!! And when we confronted them, they tried blaming us because I said "we" in some of my messages. HELLO WE ARE MARRIED, IT IS A JOINT DECISION! Now my husband has 10 HARD CREDIT PULLS and it completely messed up any refinancing on our other vehicles and home!!! And they still try to blame us and wrote a BULL SH*T letter saying due to miscommunication they ran his credit. NO, THEY DID THEIR OWN THING, NOT FOLLOWING OUR AGREEMENT. DO NOT GO HERE!! ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS. They had the nerve to go off on us after all that. NO THANK YOU!!
