Even though I arrived an hour early, my car was taken in and I waited only 1 hour--I left at the same time I should have arrived. Service was efficient. I liked the fact that the service representative told me personally that I did not need anything extra--which also would mean that she would have told me if I needed to have something more done to my car.

I test drove one car and that's the car I got . The sales man was kind and sweet. He answered all of my questions. Be prepared to stay 5 to 6 hours in cold air conditioning. Go in knowing the maximum amount you will pay per month.

So I needed a new car. I am was a first time car buyer and I had been shopping around for about a week set on getting a Prius for the gas mileage. I found a used 2013 at Toyota Penske in Downey and even though it was a 2 hour drive in traffic i decided it was worth it.

Negative - I called about 3 hours before and made an appointment for 730pm. When I showed up no one new who we were or what car we had come to look at. We spent about 15 minutes or more just trying to figure out which car it was and i had to go back into carfax where i had found it originally to show them. Was disappointed in the lack of communication with there staff. Then, because the car had not been pulled out before we got there, began the fun part. I am not exaggerating it was over an hour of searching for the car. No one seemed to know where it was. Turns out that someone there had pulled off all the stickers to make it unidentifiable.
Positive - throughout this whole experience Andrew Contreras(sales staff) was there trying to make the situation the best he could. He really did an exceptional job. I have worked in the service industry for about 10 years now and it is hard to find people like him who were as patent and willing to just keep looking for a car when others would have just said...I already looked there... He was friendly and understanding all around. The second person we dealt with there was one of the managers Sam Chakra. He was just as helpful and apologized for being unable to locate the car for such a long time. told me that it was the first time this had ever happened and honestly I completely believed him. Mostly because everything else ran so smoothly which is due in large to his help. Lastly was the finance guy Vu Trang. This guy was awesome. Super helpful and couldn't have asked for someone who was more knowledgeable about everything we could use. He explained what everything was and the pros and cons of it so that making a decision was easy. This was extremely important for me and my wife being first time car buyers. We drove off in our new car and lived happily ever after.

Extreme Bait and Switch. They just lie to you to waste your time, thinking you will just give them more money, because you already wasted time going there and waiting. After confirming the price of the car 3 times with the internet manager Alex (Aspet) Minasian by emails, apparently just to get me to their place. When I got to the dealership, again Elaine Sanchez confirmed to me the price, and made me fill the credit application (She told me she must run it if I use a check to pay, as I was paying all in cash). The credit scores came as 860, 822, 815, and she copied my insurance policy, then she requested $500 more for the car. Of course, I refused, not because of the money, it is because I won't do business with this level of unethicalness and dirtiness. I would give $200-$300 more to respectable people whom I feel they are trustable, ethical, who have moral values and can value a customer more than a few money bills.

Zero rating. Disgrace of a Toyota dealership. The Voodoo Blue FJ Cruiser you see advertised was originally for $14, 905. Sales rep Ahmad showed me the FJ and said he did not have the keys so i could not start it or test drive it. I signed a temporary agreement to buy it after test drive. He called me and said FJ had numerous mechanical problems that will cost 2k to fix, i spoke with so called manager Kent and we agreed on $800. My brother thought that was too much and spoke with GM Kevin. I test drove the car next day and it can only be put in 4WD and not the rest and it jerks on high speed. Long story short the GM Kevin came out and told me this car has numerous mechanical problems and is not safe to be on the road so he plans to return it to Toyota since he will lose money trying to fix it. Next day he lists the car for $18,524 as you can see. Read the rest on BBB since i can only write so much here. Do not buy this junk. They will use your money to patch it up and make profit.
Worst experience ever - Finance person should be ashamed - tunaboiling
First met with Internet salesperson (Alexis) and she was so nice. She did a great job answering my questions about the truck I was interested in. I also had some financial questions so she passed me on to Finance person, you know the person in the little square room (ugh). I explained what info I wanted and even explained 3 separate times. Each time I explained this guy would come up with another excuse why he could not answer me. The info I wanted should have been easily obtainable, especially seeing another dealer was able to answer about 60 minute prior to visiting Toyota of Whittier. So after the Finance guy gives me the 3rd excuse he starts to raise his voice at me. This was incredible to me... Here a finance guy is raising his voice at a possible customer. Then not only does he raise his voice (yelling and me), he insults me and even brings my family into the conversation. Needless to say I made my voice heard clearly and loudly, I was pissed. I could not believe this was happening. Here this finance guy was yelling and insulting my family. I have never been yield at in a dealership and never insulted.
So if your looking to be yelled at and/or insulted when trying to purchase a car then by all means go to Toyota of Whittier. If your not looking for that then visit any other Toyota dealership.
The next day we visited another Toyota dealership and in 10 minutes they answered the very same question. We purchased the Truck from them.

Worst Service department i have ever had to deal with. Service director Javier Gutierrez is a complete moron and does not understand customer service. He actually told me we don't help people like you here ???? Took my truck in for simple Oil change, took 3 hours , called - ready for pick up , when i arrived , they could not find my keys??? one of the service employees told me they take other keys with them to different cars because it is to far to walk back to the key storage area??? turns out they sent my keys home with another customers vehicle ??? feeling very safe and secure with my keys being in someone else's possession for hours (NOT) - an employee drove to the other customer location and picked up my keys - returned to dealer 2 hours later. wasted a whole day, stranded for hours, no drink offered , no chair , nothing . To top it off - no apologies - no discount, no free car wash , no free oil change - Javier stated we offered to take you back to work??? i will NEVER return to this Dealer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Javier Gutierrez should be fired !!!!

Came in yesterday afternoon with my sister.
We don't have appointment, we just want to check out the cars and deals that they have.
Right when we walked in Morry greeted us and asked us what car are we looking for.
I told him the specifically what I want and I was able to test drive it.
In the beginning everything went smooth.
When we start discussing about the price of the car Morry totally change his attitude to us.
Im planing to trade my car and I mentioned them how much my mileage in my car. Morry asked for my car keys to check the VIN# of my car and to check my mileage.
He came back to us and showed us paper with numbers. I have strict budget and I'm not going to change my mind with the price that I want.
Morry insulted me saying "you can't afford the car you want", in my head I'm like "boy you don't know who your talking too!"
He asked for my credit card and I gave him my Amex card.
He left our table and talked to his boss, then his boss came to us saying we have to be flexible, and I was.
I told them NO and I want my keys and credit card back!
They both left and Morry will get my stuff.
A manager name Jim talked to us saying that the price that I want is impossible so my sister and I told them THEN GIVE ME MY KEYS AND MY CREDIT CARD NOW! We don't want the car!
Jim and Morry left the table AGAIN they said they will give me my stuff.
Another guy came in our table saying "please give me 10secs"
And we said NO! Give me my stuff!
The 4th guy that we talked too, he finally gave us my keys and card.
HOWEVER! When we are walking outside this 4th guy was waiting for us. But we told him to give me my papers that I signed!
My sister walked inside with him to get my papers, then my sister found out that MORRY STOLE my CAR REGISTRATION!!
I was in the car and my engine is on and I'm ready to go. When my sister told me that they have my CAR REGISTRATION I got really mad so I turn off the engine and I walked towards Morry I told him "I gave you my keys to check for VIN # and mileage BUT you are not allowed to touch my stuff and steal from me!" I was standing in front of him for 10secs and he couldn't say anything!
I went back to my car and when we are about to leave Morry knocked on my window saying "I've been nice to you and this is what I'm gonna get?"
I told him "STEALING IS NOT NICE!"
What if I actually left the building and I get pulled over ? Then I'm in trouble right?!
Seriously why would you take my car registration without my permission?!
They held us hostage, they harassed us, they don't want to give me my stuff and stole my car registration!
And they didn't apologize!
It sucks I didn't get a chance to take a video.
I will NEVER come back and I DO NOT recommend this place!
They will insult you, they will give you a headache, they are very SHADEY, RUDE, and INCONSIDERATE!
Please don't give them your credit card and your driver license, bring a copy of your driver license with you.
I just wish I can put a 0 star in here.
