After suffering two ordeals at two different Honda dealers, I decided to give El Monte Honda a try.
I arrived at the dealership’s service center a few minutes before it’s 7:00 a.m. opening time.
There were a several customers ahead of me, but once the spacious arrival area was opened up- the customers were promptly greeted and we were questioned about our reasons for being there.
A few minutes later I was greeted by Service Advisor, Ken Okimoto.
I was processed in, and I was given an written estimate for the oil/ filter change, and the tire rotation. I was told that I would be contacted should the mechanic find any additional issue that I might need to be made aware of.
I was also given an estimate for how long it was going to take.
I received a text message advising me that my car was ready. I walked over to Ken O’s office, where I was able to pay, as well as, pick up my car and drive home.
I was surprised that no mention was made about the cabin filter, and the engine air filter-
since the previous dealership recommended that both be changed during both my 30,000 and 40,000 mile service. (were both bad both times?)
I trust that this time, they were both inspected, and that they were found to be acceptable.
This resulted in a savings to me of about $100.00.
I plan to continue having my car serviced at El Monte Honda- I will ask for Ken Okimoto.

Sales manager was very rude I’m in the market for a new car so I come over to this place sales man was very cool but when I when to seat and talk about numbers sale manager was rude no sense of help or negotiation he was trying to make me get a lease not a purchase and when I say no he almost walk away so of course it’s so many options out there that I say thank you and walk away

I know it's hard to believe that about a Dealer Service Dept. But for me it's always been that way.
Over the years the Service Consultants have always helped to get my car in and out and give me a ride home if I needed one. They do a great job and as long as I have my Honda I'll take it there.

Long Beach Honda did a great job and made us feel very welcome. We had a great buying experience expect for Robert Hastings (the sales manager) who would not listen, would over talk, and felt he needed to talk to me like I was a 5 year old. The salesman Norbert did an excellent job getting us the car we wanted and made sure we had everything we needed. The finance manager Mike Maali was excellent! Super nice guy and was very appreciative of our business. Was a wonderful experience except for sales manager being rude. Thanks Long Beach Honda! We will definitely recommend you and will be back for future purchases, just avoid Robert!

I fist called 2 days ago to confirm if they had a part in stock they confirmed it was available and ready for pick up. I drove over 1 hr in LA traffic. Once I was showed I spoke to a young man and he confirmed the part was not available I explained that I had called earlier and they told me it was in stock he then asked me who I spoke to and I did not have a name. After venting my frustration of me driving 1 hr to get to dealer he answer was "what are you getting at". At that time another young man by the name of Jair jumped in and tried to defuse the situation , he was apologetic and ordered the part for me; as I made my way to the cashier I noticed it was the incorrect part that he was ordering .. I came back to the counter and told him the wrong part was ordered. 2 days later I receive the part and it is the incorrect one, I call back Jair answered the phone, I asked to speak to a manager then he placed me on hold for 3 min came back and said the manager was in a meeting but he will send me the correct part. I asked for the managers info his name is Manny 213234-2151, I immediately call back and I guess Manny answered the phone , As I attempt to explain my situation hes answer was WHAT''S UP ? I paused and paraphrased he said "YA WHAT's UP what do you need". I told him that was not a professional way to speak to a customer he said I am the manager what do you need. I disconnected the line and decided to take time to write this. I will never buy anything from that dealer.

Mr.Yair Aviña initially gave me a verbal price with of course an add-on Gap insurance for around $500.00 I agreed with. When I received the written contract 2:30 pm the amount was then $895.00. After being there so long, we offered to pay cash for the insurance Mr.Avila refused.
I am aware of what he did is Fraud. I was robbed. Financing needs to be audited, there maybe many more customers who were lied and robbed by Culver City Honda. I would Never recomend this dealership.

So i got my honda on the 28 of November and it was sopost to be through the costco program i drive from visalia ca to go see the car and get it they forst tell me they car is no longer on the Costco program. It was taken off the day i got there to buy the car. I call costco to confirm it they told me. And then i see that i already pay for gap coverage with my insirance company so i call them to cancel it on their end they say they will email me the paper work so i can get started on it since im so far away but never send the email i get a call back from Raphael saying he couldn't have gotten the deal without the gap insurance or the extra honda care they added without telling me btw until it was time to fill out the paperwork i was there for ever already waiting for something to happen i didnt want to wait any longer. So i signed the papers and got the car. Well today i get a call from raphael saying if i cancel the gap and honda care i have to give my car back. Like im some kinda fool. He tries to intimidate me into not canceling it but because of the way he talked down to me just now i will be coming up there to see him face to face . Mike acosta was a good guy who did his job well but i will not be threatened and i know my rights if i dont need it i can cancel it the car has gap through my insurance and im not paying for 2 of them so it has to go. I am never doing business with them again after this. Fool tried me.

Automobile dealerships are renown for unscrupulous behavior and it was disquieting to find that, through all the smiles and thank-you’s, we were ultimately deceived. However, I must take this opportunity to express my utmost admiration for just how well Ocean’s deception was executed. From the moment I received the call from Alejandra the "Internet technician", to the fumbling by Danny the salesman arranging the test drive of a car they said was on the lot but obviously wasn't and Luis’ seemingly innocent numerous re do’s of the documents in the Finance office during which therms were changed, to Clinton the "Manager" assurances that the $850 cost of the Security Package was removed from the sale price (this was hidden by Luis), it was a breathtakingly efficient way of extracting more money from this (now one-time) customer.
Perhaps it’s one of the “oldest tricks in the book” but I’ve never been taken like Ocean took me. So, Bravo! I’ve shared my story Truecar.com and Honda Corporate none of who expressed any interest in what I had to say about the dishonest practices at Ocean.
STAY AWAY. If they say they have your car on the lot, they probably don't. Be very careful in the Finance office.

I called and asked how could i synchronize my cell phone with the screen of my honda car purchased at this dealership. I was told to go to this honda to get it done as they could not explain to me over the phone. So i drove 27 miles to this honda. When i arrived there i was told that they were not able to do the service. I consider this fraud, i called to complain and the responsable manager told me he would contact me as soon as he had an answer on how to do it. I was never contacted. Definitely i will never buy a car here again.

This was by far the easiest and absolute best car buying experience I've ever had. I usually dread visiting car lots and being chased around by dealers, or even worse being ignored because I'm not dressed sharp enough! (I'm talking about you cerritos nissan!) Well this was much different, we got to browse the cars on our own and when we were ready, we were warmly greeted by Frank, our salesman. He pointed out all the great features on the Civic we were considering and then we took it on a test drive. He never tried to talk us into a more expensive model, or adding a bunch of extras, he just let us get the model we wanted and gave us a great price we couldn't refuse. When it came to the paper work, it was smooth sailing and their financing even beat our credit unions interest rate. We were then sent to Art who patiently explained our contracts and additional warranty coverage, and got to watch us sign all of our official documents. He never made us feel like big idiots if we didn't consider additional coverage. (I'm talking to you again cerritos nissan!) We were also congratulated many times by various sales people, including Richard the sales manager. This is a dealership who knows the Honda name sales itself and won't try to pressure you in any way. Therefore I highly recommend Community Honda of Whittier! You rock!!!
